I came here based on the reviews of others in TripAdvisor. When we arrived, we were the only customers from start to finish. Generally speaking, the ambience is indeed nice, with relaxing jazz music playing in the background with nice decorations on the wall. But I found the food average, and overpriced. My friend ordered the Payung Chicken Chop, it... More

Accidentally drop by at the restaurant to take a break. Warmly decorated and very cooling from the Sibu heat. Food has Maldives influence. Tried the Payung Rojak- delicious with the rojak sauce and plenty of veg. The fish otak was spicy and went well with white rice.. yummy fish cake wraped in leaf. The mushhroom roll wasthe talked-about with the... More

Try OtakOtak Fish, Herbs Salad or Mutton Masala. Everything is just amazing plus beautiful setting and decorations. Night lights add to atmosphere.

We were there for a Maxis 4G Makan Lokal food hunting project, the food there really impressed us! One bite and you'll understand what is their authentic foods of Borneo all about. Great ambiance, unique decor with tropical feel, a cafe must not to be missed in Sibu. We had payung rojak, mushroom roll, otak-otak & mulu ice cream. The... More

Late breakfast & we decided to tryout Payung cafe as its convenient to park right in front of the cafe. Credit to the owner for preparing 2 car park for their customers only. Ambiance is reasonably nice. I think it will b nicer at night. The menu is not suitable for breakfast. I think lunch or afternoon tea will be... More

Not only the place is cozy and relaxing, the staffs are very polite too, super fast service, and to complete that... there are food to die for. Even though its a little pricey, but i think its worth every... More

Located at main road. Decorates with payung or umbrella. Nice night lighting. We just order the durian milk shake and lemon grass drinks. Taste good.

We had mushroom roll and masara. I would say the restaurant is quite creative in decoration and same too in preparing their food. The mushroom roll was nice, haven tasted this before in other place. It has cheese powder on what is like a Chinese popiah. The roll is slightly fried, just nice. The pineapple ginger soda and the coffe... More
