Another restaurant that is not too easy to find. A long time since we last visited but on a beautiful spring day we were somewhat disappointed to be seated in the rather gloomy main restaurant instead of the pleasant covered terrace overlooking the garden. We had to find someone when we arrived as it was very quiet but when it... More

We went on a Tuesday night for dinner while on vacation. The restaurant is not hard to find using a GPS, it's right off the D942 highway. There were maybe three other tables occupied that night. LSP lost its Michelin star over the winter, I hope that hasn't hurt business but maybe it has. WE sat outside on the patio.... More

Travelled some way to try the nearest Michelin star restaurant to where we were staying. It was very quiet with just one other table taken on this particular Thursday evening. We ate outside as the temperature was perfect however tables and chairs were on a gravel floor under faded parasols. Inside in comparison did look elegant and well furnished. The... More

Our lunch today was part of the special week when "Top" restaurants offer two meals for the price of one, so the value mark is probably not valid. There was only one menu, the lobster one at €100 - but fine by us. It is a while since our last visit and not a great deal has changed. The restaurant... More

A meal at Laurent Azoulay Le Saule Pleureur ("Weeping Willow") is nothing to weep about unless it is a cry of joy! The atmosphere in sight of a perfect Provencale garden makes one feel happy to be alive, even before the food arrives. The chef, Laurent Azoulay, combines culinary influences of his childhood in Morocco with the expertise he gained... More

Allready 4 years, we went to that restaurant twice, each time we are in south of france and had nice experiences in 2010, 2011, 2012 were my quote was "good" to "outstanding". This year we are really very disappointed. The food was "average" and had lost all "star" level. We had a 3 courses menu for 52€ and had to... More

We took the 4 course menu together with wine. The food was quite delicious though the portions were miniscule. The wines served with the dishes did not complement the food at all. It is difficult to understand why this restaurant has retained a Michelin star whereas 2 other restaurants in the area which are far superior in terms of friendly welcome,... More

We had lunch at Le Saule pleureur very recently. The setting is a simple country house, rather close to a main road and easy to find. Service is attentive and quick (75 minutes). As for food, it was a great experience. The menu changes often. Given our time constraints we picked the express menu (3 courses). A must is the... More

So we opt for two dishes a la carte, without dessert and two coffees, quick lunch in 50 minutes, very disappointed for 1 hour. Used tables... More

This restaurant has one Michelin star and easily deserves another. The perfect culinary experience in an idyllic settingin the suburbs of Avignon. The outdoor garden shaded by a magnificent Weeping Willow (hence the name of the restaurant) is the perfect location for a summer lunch. And with lunch menus in the range of € 35- €45 it's a definite steal!... More
