We ended up going to La Voz on a personal tour in San Juan. The tour guide actually walked us through the coffee farm and then through the process of making the coffee. It was very educational. We then stopped at the cafe and had...More

Excellent choice of drinks, I had an iced mint chocolate which was fantastic. All the drinks we were served were of great quality and fair pricing. Although we didn't tour we did have the coffee manufacturing process explained and we bought ground coffee. The proprietor...More

The women of this society seem to be the more creative. This place is filled with many of the typical (and beautiful) woven creations you would expect to find in Guatemala, including scarves, shawls, table runners, hair accessories, and so forth.

I had a private tour with a coffee importer who has had a long relationship with La Voz. This seems a wonderful place to assist the small coffee growers in the area..nearly all women and produces fabulous coffee. The processing of coffee by hand is...More

It was fun to see how coffee is produced. The guide was very knowledgeable. Walk-in for our group was accepted. Tour ended with a cup of coffee and a cookie plus opportunity to purchase coffee.

Coffee farmers normally earn very little compared to processors, roasters and distributors. This cooperative is the result of the community organizing to command fair rates for small producers. The tour is very interesting and there's a lovely cafe where you can try the delicious coffee.

Hi there, I'm reaching out as a Canadian freelance journalist who is interested in writing an article on coffee farming and the process involved. I was wondering if I could get in touch with the tour guide for the Cooperativa in order to speak a little bit about the tour and what one can expect to see on the tour... You can reach me through Tripadvisor Or at my cellphone: (289) 439-8466 Best, -Kyle Wyskiel
