The restaurant exceeded our expectations, having been the evening prior to the restaurant at the Yeatman Hotel (also known for providing a gastronomic experience), I have to say that we truly enjoyed Casa de Cha Boa Nova much more. The service was excellent. With the...More

We were there in June 2018 and finally I can write about our experience. From the moment they forgot we were on the terrace having champagne marveling at the architecture and view we should have known this was not our night. Very elaborate tasting menu...More

I just returned from a 12 day trip to Portugal. Restaurante Casa de Cha da Boa Nova was highly recommend to me by a friend a week prior to my departure. It's an incredibly unique space - looks like a Frank Lloyd Wright house hugging...More

This restaurant sits perched on the side of the rocks looking out over the Atlantic. It’s a gorgeous setting-but the real draw is the food and service. Unbelievably good.

The place itself is an architectural gem with a beautiful sea view, and our table service was excellent - we were even greeted warmly by chef Rui Paula himself. I had the smaller 4-course menu, and the food was gorgeously presented, but it really didn’t...More

This is probably THE most overrated restaurant I have been during my travels in Europe. I read the reviews and wondered if I was in the same restaurant. The staff were at best robotic, the food was BLAND. The only positives were the view and...More

Unfortunately I found the restaurant quite pretentious but for those who haven’t experienced a Michelin starred restaurant before the experience could be quite enjoyable.

There's enough written on how beautiful the architecture, the location, the food, etc all is, but no worthwhile mention of the fact that there's a brilliant 7 course veg tasting menu as well, which is usually not too easy to find in a Michelin star...More

Best to call for a taxi (or equivalent). It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes (depending on the hour)

The best option is by taxi. The restaurant is about 20 -25 minutes from central Porto and not easy to find. Take a taxi especially if you plan to do the excellent wine pairing with your meal.

Thank you for your question. We are around 15 minutes from the center of Porto, the best way is by car. Any other question, we are at your disposal. Kind regards, Casa de chá da Boa Nova
