The ambience of the places reminds one of the restaurants of my childhood. Photos of the family, decor and furniture are of the era. We ordered the ubi kinampay ( purple yam cooked with shrimps and light coconut milk) and the fish kinilaw. We loved the kinilaw and my tagalog taste buds are confused and undecided on the yams.

We came to this place after the good reviews and weren't disappointed! A family restaurant with good food and a great service! Nice atmosphere! A very good discovery in Philippines!

This place is overrated. The waiter recommend me a local blue fish, I told him I really like fish. The fish was dry and nothing expetial. He soggested a local kind of sweet potato with the fish and I agreed. Again nothing good .. I didn't like the food in general Don't recommend this place... Paid 515 Pesos for both... More

The restaurant exhibits the old fashioned Filipino house. They offer a lot of traditional Filipino and Boholano cuisine. I personally liked their Kilawin, Seafood (squid ink) pasta, Ube Kinampay Guisado and Dinakdakan, which is a stunner. I loved the ambiance and service. Will surely come back for more Dinakdakan!

Grateful for the food. Cooking Food to be grateful. Sharing food in gratefulness. This is Gerarda's. Homemade. Homegrown. Homebound. For first timers, try their 4-course sampler, and their special ube desserts. I came here with family some five months ago and it's distinct history is edifying. The proof is in the food !

This is a great place to dine. They have an excellent food and the surrounding area is great, its like your in a fine dining with affordable price. Food is one thing, they really know how to balance its flavor which makes it taste so good. They have interesting selection to choose from and they will ask if you want... More

You can enjoy a good and tastety Boholano (native) cuisine but the prices are maybe not friendly for me.

We checked out Gerarda's place for lunch, it was around 11 AM when we arrived. There were no other guests that time but when 11:30 AM struck, the place was packed. We asked the waiter what was their best dish, and he answered that it was Dinakdakan (pork belly chopped, mixed with mayonnaise, and spices). We decided to try it... More

I've been here with a friend,we ordered a dinakdakan (as their best seller) and chop suey..since I came from ilocos and dinakdakan is a dish that originated in ilocos region so why not give a self to try?? when they served the food,I was very surprised, the taste of dinakdakan was too far from my expectation..and service was ok.

Nice, tastefully decorated restaurant with really fantastic service (friendly, knowledgeable and attentive). The food was nice and interesting. Not sure it is worth the trip especially, but if you are passing through Tagbilaran why not stop here?
