It was our last evening in Japan and after 8 days of straight Japanese food, you crave for a break. We're impressed with the interior of the place; nice atmosphere inside! It's warm and cozy with minimal but well-thought of decorations. It's convenient that the menu was in English and the burgers we had were really delicious! It's also easy... More

The cheeseburger was acceptable but taste of the source was too strong as well as the onion inside. I don't recommend the place

For Japanese infatuated with America, this hamburger joint fits the stereotype. Food-wise it's OK. There are way better Japanese restaurants in the neighborhood.

This was a regular lunch venue when I worked in Japan years ago and I visited recently while on holiday with my family. The burgers are still as good, the service is great, the menu is in English and there is a great choice. Its amazing that the high standards have been maintained over almost 20 years and well worth... More

Stopped in after a visit to the Tokyo Dome amusement park, everywhere in the park was either rammed or looked a bit dodgy, so I checked on tripadvisor and used my skills of google maps navigation to get us to this little beauty! Great burgers, mozarella sticks are pretty tasty and the pickles are spot on. The burger buns look... More

This is my go to place for lunch when I am in the Hongo neighborhood. People are super friendly, the menu is bilingual and the burgers and sandwiches are truly great. Try the cheese burger or the ham and cheese sandwich. Yummy! Prices are very affordable.

We ordered a cheeseburger (1140¥) and avocado burger (around 1300¥) , and both were delicious and filling. The patties were large and juicy, and cooked really well. Nice sesame bun. The only thing was they were skimpy with the french fries! There were maybe just 10 fries on each of our plates. Service was fast and friendly, and there was... More

I was looking for a nice burger and Tokyo has loads of it. Prices are not cheap for burgers in Tokyo, and the size is rather small. So I kept it simple and tasty.so I decided to go for one of the original ones who opened shop before the trend caught on. The cheeseburger was very nice, you get a... More

I have heard about Fire House over the years (opened in 1996) & my colleagues rave about it too. So, we decided to get some burgers delivered to work. I am not a burger connoisseur but the buns were fresh and bouncy & the freshly cooked patties were thick and juicy, smothered with a nice creamy sauce. Nothing like having... More

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
