Lived in Tokyo for 5 years and used to bring friends here for the all you can eat. It;s been 3 years since we've been back there and the experience and quality of the food was horrendous. Experienced Tsukiji Tamasushi on the recommendation of our local tour guide and were not disappointed to state the least. The sushi was all minimally very good with some like the Toro [fatty tuna] and grilled Isobe Scallops bridging on the exceptional! It is truly not a tourist destination, so English and ordering is somewhat on the more complicated side, but... More

Small out of the way sushi restaurant. Highly recommend it. Fish was delicious. One caution there will be a language barrier. Pointing at the sushi pictures helps. Not too pricey either

we ate at this restaurant on our first evening in Tokyo, the staff spoke some English which made ordering etc easier. We sat at the counter where we could watch the sushi chef preparing our meal. There was a large range of fish and shellfish on the menu including whale which we had not tried before. The fish tasted very... More
