Recently ate here more than once while on vacation in Tokyo. Really superb upscale Cantonese cuisine with a fantastic view. It is a Michelin starred restaurant and expensive, but worth it. The food and service was truly outstanding. Definitely one of the best for this cuisine that I have experienced in the world, and comparable to the Man Wah at... More

I stayed at Mandarin and this restaurant is located inside the hotel. Fine dining kind of Chinese food, very good quality. The manager on duty , an Italian man, is an impressive one and provides excellent service.

Crazy prices, extremely beautiful place, wonderful view. But I don't think it is worth money you pay. Or you should love Chinese cuisine. Perfect service and for sure high quality ingredients for all dishes but I would never come again

Dinner with a view! Chinese fine dining at its best. Luxurious ingredients. We got the Heiyon's Chef Tasting Menu, which is about $280 per person. It's very expensive but you got what you paid for: luxurious ingredients and spectacular view. Set menu included: fresh lobster salad, fresh scallops with seafood sauce, bird's nest soup with king crab, Kobe beef with... More

Pretty unusual for a chinese restaurant that I know of with a Michelin star . It was worth it .Service and food was excellent. The only thing I resent was a cup of tea costing $15. This was as much as alcohol . The meal was wonderful but significantly costly ,but one star . Wow

The view was absolutely beautiful and decor was pleasant. Staff were very accommodating and knowledgable. The food was very disappointing. In February we came here for a full course set with wine pairings. Almost everything we had, wine included, was not good. It is impossible to describe how awful the Chinese wine and various courses were that evening. Considering we... More

My wife and I live in Hong Kong but were visiting Tokyo for the cherry blossom season. It wasn't long before we had a strong desire for some Cantonese food, and our friends recommended Sense in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel for lunch. The restaurant sits on the 37th floor of a new tower in the Nihombashi District. Everything is elegant... More

I was so excited to try this restaurant with my husband. I left feeling completely underwhelmed and totally ripped off. 3,000yen for 2 small bottles of water? That's just mean. I went to another michelin restaurant last night (l'efervesence) and the fancy bottled water was included which I thought was a nice touch. Besides overpaying for everything, I just can't... More

That the food is outstanding is a given, the White Bauhinia lunch set a particularly good bet with unlimited dim sum and choice morsels of Peking duck. The meal ended on a high note with one of the most delicious and refreshing desserts I've had in a long time in the form of mango coconut cream with fresh grapefruit. As... More
