Overall a very enjoyable experience at the Tapas Bar. Some of the dishes were delightful while a few others I couldn't understand. First the sushi which wasn't sushi but tasted like sushi. A reasonably good dish. Then egg in rice soup or something. At first I thought it was just ok but then was told the egg was not actually... More

My wife and I went to Tapas Molecular Bar directly from the airport. We were advised that we had to be on time for all Japanese restaurants. It was a set 16-17 course tasting menu at the bar. Chef Ping was innovative on his presentation. Even though we were really tired from the international flight. Chef Ping was very entertaining... More

Having been in Tokyo for a week and been wowed by some of the places we have eaten, we had reasonably high expectations for what is an expensive experience - however feel that there are a few key points to mention. This is all about theatre and little to do with food. You sit at a drinks bar in the... More

Chef was so friendly and professional, made the dinning experience fun (lots of interaction with customers) and of course everything was beyond delicious. Very refreshing and inspiring experience. Best service i've ever seen, waiters and waitress pay great attention to every detail. The only drawback is that there's only 2 hours, but with so many courses, it was a bit... More

First time i had the pleasure of experiencing Chef Ping's culinary talent and interpretation of molecular cooking; and i was not dissapointed. 16 course meal served as small, interesting tapas style. Each course challenges your taste buds, and surprises your imagination and culinary understanding when chef Ping personally explains the molucalar experiements leading to the interpretation of food classics and... Visited this restaurant during my trip to Japan in Cherry Blossom season 2016 based on the insanely high tripadvisor rating. If you want to secure a seat in this place you will need to book in advance to do so. If I recall correctly I put money onto my Skype account to call overseas for cheap and they had English... More

Attended with my wife - and had one of the most memorable meals I've had. We were both pretty new to molecular gastronomy, and found the whole meal incredibly well put together. The presentation and explanation from the chefs was first class and taste wise, we loved it. If you get the chance, go!

We had a good experience at this 18 course meal! I definitely understand why they have earned the Michelin stars! My partner and I were wowed at almost each course with genius presentation and surprising concoctions and combinations- BUT to be perfectly honest the meal was more visually exciting than it was tasty! We were not blown away by the... More

It's difficult to know where to start. As molecular dining goes this is the best I have experienced. Went with my daughter for her birthday who was spell bound. The whole experience was well thought through (won't give away some of the elements), each course just utterly divine and the interactions with the chefs just made it so much fun.... More
