What an experience... Serene, relaxing restaurant serving a very good Kaiseki meal with Tofu and Kobe beef as absolute highlight. The entire experience took a good two hours and we loved every minute of it.

We ate at Ukai Tofuya on a rainy day with a family group including a ten year old and six adults for lunch. The restaurant was recommended by a Japanese colleague. The venue was very nice in an lovely garden just down the road from Tokyo Tower. The servers were very patient with us. We ordered set lunches and our... More

My partner called this the best meal of his life. It is pricey, but the service, atmosphere and food make it all worth it. Our server was so kind to my 8 year old daughter. They have a children's set which includes a wide variety so every child should be able to find something.

As a European, I can't fully express what a great experience it was to visit this place. It's true that tofu is not entirely my taste but the variety of different servings meant that I was full by the time we left. The surroundings are truly lovely and the service was excellent. Food presentation was impeccable. It's not cheap but... More

This place has one of the most amazing setting for dinner - its a private Japanese garden surrounded by individual dining rooms. Most of the food served was pretty good, but it is not *that* great. Coming from an Asian country where tofu is pretty common, note that the tofu which they specializes in, is not quite for everyone. I've... More

You are given your own private dining room and your own waitress who brings you all the courses and introduces them in detail. The dining room looks out onto beauty manicured Japanese gardens, which are excellent for photos once you have contacted your meal. The food is delicate and considered, and is prepared with care. A great special-occasion restaurant.

Gorgeous restaurant with a spectacular garden at the foot of Tokyo Tower. As you'd expect the service is flawless and the keiseki lunch set is fantastic value with each of the dishes exquisitely presented. Food is very traditional Japanese with the sashimi and pork being my personal highlights. Advise booking ahead and notifying of any allergies as they were most... More

My friend recommended this hotel to me and we made reservation by a Japanese friend. The setting of this restaurant is quaint. It has a very nice garden. It locates right beneath the Tokyo Tower. After the lunch, we enjoyed very much walking around the garden. If you want to try the restaurant, go for the lunch because the lunch... More

Wonderful place with super friendly staff, amazing food (best tofu I ever had in various variations, joined up with fantastic fish and sashimi - alternatively also beef menu would be available). Great setting with private dining room and dedicated staff, very traditional building and decor, right under Tokyo Tower.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
