Hypes dumplings and spicey noodles. Fast efficient and very fresh and tasty. Clears out the sinuses after a long trams pacific flight.

Excellent Ramen, in particular, the tantanmen. Its open late at night, which makes it doubly awesome. (Limited English tho - so you're probably going to randomly point at something...)

Best ramen soup and gyoza ever! The place does not look very special but the food tastes fantastic. You have to try the gyoza.

I come about to know this place during the business trip! The ramen are all home made and soup is simply delicious, and do not forget the gyoza.

The menu is in Japanese but pictures make it easy to choose. You sit directly in front of the cook so you get a nice show while they make your food. When I staied there the master of dumplings made a nice show; it was nice to watch him while he was preparing dumplings with his finger skills. The kitchen... More

Stayed at Shinagawa Prince. This small ramen shop is just at the entrance of the hotel. Conveniently located, reasonably priced ramen and dumplings. Had this for dinner on my first night in Tokyo. Was happy with the food and the service.

The red lanterns outside this place tell you where it is. Basically, it's a small kitchen with a bench where people sit. Have no idea what the names of the dishes were, but the menu does have pictures. There is a spicy noodle thing with mince - quite possibly the best noodle soup dish I have ever had. Went back... Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
