Ok, we happened to be staying at Kamata area (pit-stop before Haneda airport) and TA's reviews led us to this restaurant. Personally, I would not want my last meal in Japan to be this eatery. We stopped by this little restaurant after reading previous reviews. I must say I am glad we did. The gyoza were delicious and crispy. We stumbled across this place and nearly walked away however, I'm so pleased we didn't!!!! It was the best meal we had our whole holiday and felt like a truly authentic taste of Japan and was full of locals having a blast!!! Smoking was permitted but the place was fine. Staff were really good and you order as you go.... More

There's really two types, one in soup and ones that are fried then steamed known as hanetsuki-gyoza or "gyoza with wings". The wings are the... More

Staying in Haneda / Kamata

Neighbourhood Profile
Haneda / Kamata
Haneda / Kamata is known for its airport with many hotels popping up with the increase in international flights. It’s also an area that offers many shrines and temples with ancient origins including Anamori Inari Shrine or Ikegami Honmonji temple which is visited by more than 300,000 people in October's Buddhist Oeshiki festival. The area around Kamata station is lined with restaurants and is lively until late at night. In particular, it’s known for the large collection of tasty gyoza specialists.
