Great ambience and staff very friendly. The restaurant is set in dimmed lighting with about 6 tables in each area giving a nice amount of privacy. We ordered way too much food to eat .... Curry crab croquettes, Stir fried noodles in a rich sauce, Grilled salmon belly sushi, Tuna and leek sushi, fries and Toasted rice balls. All the... More

Service is very poor. Food that arrives is average. Sushi was good but better places to spend your money. Ramen also not amazing.

It was suggested from our hotel but we were really not satisfied from the dinner we had tonight. Prices affordable and some dishes can be also considered as quite good. But we had a table near the kitchen entry and I am sure that nothing was cooked at the moment despite my fried rice with salmon. The Tu a sashimi... More

I believe Watami is a chain of Japanese restaurants, however this does not feel like a chain at all. It has a great traditional feeling Japanese while still being very suitable for casual dinning. Watami offers a menu in English which is great as this can be difficult to find in Japan. We had 3 different types of sushi which... More

It has traditional Japanese dishes such as sushi, tempura. I like most marine products such as fish and grill calamary. The prices are not very expensive.

Going back to this chain every time I am in Tokyo. Watami is a cheap and cheerful young crowd izakaya with cheap food and drinks but a very good quality! Sushi, grilled staff, fish, all you want is here.

This restaurant offers a ton of variety for a Tokyo restaurant and at very affordable price points. It's mainly Japanese styled food options, but all with a little something special. Service is great as you just "ring" the bell when you need something. We ate gyoza, dumpling soup, the salmon/tuna carpachio, the hot stone filet, 2 orders of "iced bread"... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
