The servers are yelling in the food orders. So there is always a lot of commotion. Great Yakitori. The service was quick. Fun to eat your meal on a stick. The only drawback is that do allow smoking in the restaurant.

Walking in Tokyo all day and not reserved a place for dinner. We look for the best restaurant in Shibuyu for Yakitori. We arrive and it is booked. We come across this true gem by accident or fate and have the most fantastic experience and food. Truly a locales spot and we easily ordered from the English menu, sat at... More

my japanese friend took me to akiyoshi, she's from fukui where this shop is originally from. we ordered a variety of yakitori and kushiage, it was all very delicious. especially the tsukune (japanese meatball), didn't felt like they used minced meat. it was so tender! the place was smoky but the ventilation was very good, so we didn't smell like... Just loved this experience! As soon you walk in the door you are immersed into a world of smokey Japanese BBQ ! Just being in the room is an experience, watching the chef prepare your food, listening to the wait staff greet everyone as they walk - it's awesome. The food was delicious! I can especially recommend the pork jowls... More

Like others we came across this place and it is one of the many reasons to visit Japan. Still feel sentimental for the atmosphere, great food, conviviality and the essence of the Japanese.

Yakitori with gizzards, chitterlings, and innards on the menu along with enough stuff to keep a fussy 12 yr old happy. Big shout out to the Scotch Eggs... Cheapest meal of the trip.

Wide range of yakatori options, from traditional meats to gizzards and offal. English menu is available but we were the only English speakers in there - the place was packed with locals. It's a tiny little place though so expect to be sharing a table or at least book ahead if you're in a group. The only thing I didn't... More

This was our first night out in Japan, and we had a good first experience with the local food. Lots of different kinds of yakitori and we ordered more as we went. There's some "untraditional" dishes as well (chicken skin, intestines etc), so make sure what you order...

Very local! A wonderful experience. Dinner with a group of very young crowd is a cool way of discovering Tokyo, no other tourist to be found.

The atmosphere is amazing full of people laughing and chatting away with the fire smoking in the kitchen as the endless orders come in. Everything was amazing and their English menu is perfectly translated although I had accidentally ordered some intestine not realising what chitterlings was. They have also got some dark Kirin which was a first for me and... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
