Elegant restaurant. Excellent quality food & service. Although it's expensive, it's value-for-money considering the kind of food & service they delivered. Dessert is served in another part of the restaurant. Simply heavenly!

This is our first time to Ukaitei Omotesando and we agree that it is a first class teppanyaki restaurant. Apart from the decor, the service was very good throughout our meal here. The restaurant also allows toddlers. As we entered, we did not expect to be allocated a private room - a pleasant surprise. We had the lunch special menu... More

This is a very expensive restaurant that specializes in teppanyaki. Service was exceptional, as was the restaurant itself located on the fifth floor of a building on the main street. We opted for the prime menu and the initial courses (all seafood) were brilliant - superb quality and presentation. Once we got to the meat courses we encountered an issue... More

Went here with my wife in the evening and had the set menu and the most amazing beef I have ever eating in Japan (been here 33 times). Impeccable service, nice atmosphere and we where fortunate to have the head chef cooking for us. We also celebrated a family thing and they really made us feel special, but that you... More

My husband and I had dinner at Ukaitei. We did not order the course menu but instead ordered 3 dishes la carte; a wise decision since for the same price as course menu you get to eat what you want. Everything from the lobster to the abalone that were still alive when they arrived at the teppanyaki were delicious. The... More

This is my second visit to Unkaitei. They have a few restaurants but this one in Omontesndo is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service and food. My first visit was for dinner last year, and this one was for lunch. We had set menus on both occasions. The theatre of dining is fantastic. not cheap, but worth it for the... More

In order for one to dine here, you must plan ahead of time and make reservations way ahead of time and reserve on-line or call as walk-in might be difficult. As we were ushered inside and seated at their couch, the place is very nice. It's almost like waiting for an interview to take place except in a more relaxing... More

Stumbled upon this restaurant by accident but was honestly the best thing that has ever happened to us. We stopped here for lunch and had a set menu with the most game changing beef. The whole meal is cooked in front of you so you get to see how it's made and be entertained while you eat. The restaurant has... More

Everybody knows that Tokyo restaurants have a different standard in prices but this one is very very expensive, it's one of the best teppanyaki restaurants in Tokyo, we paid 1,400 USD or even a little more for a 4 people meal, we had meat, a lobster, shrimp and vegetables, rice and a bottle of sake, but I must say the... One of the best steak restaurants in Tokyo. They have several course options and non-beef options as well. Expensive but worth it. There are a few locations in Tokyo. Reservations strongly recommended. Enjoy!

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
