The menu is not very extensive, but it is eclectic, and everything has loads of garlic in it. The service is fine as well. I especially like the dining room, which almost feels as if you are in a large dining room in someone's home. Even the house wines sold by the decanter are fine, and go well with the... More

Be sure to make a reservation -- especially if you plan on going on the weekend. Their house salad is quite good, as are their mussels and clams. But the star of our dinner was without a doubt their lowly garlic-grilled chicken. Without a doubt one of the best chicken dishes I've had ANYwhere in the world. It was perfectly... More

A re-visit after nearly 20 years! One of the places we had remembered and wanted to try again. Just as good as we hoped. Relatively small menu (in English as well), but lists some of our favourite garlic dishes from around the world. Good portion sizes - perfect for sharing. Our teenagers loved it too! If you've had your fill... More

It was really great experience. All is garlic and when I say garlic is not just few pieces but lot of garlic and I loved it. I recommend the garlic beef steak or shrimp garlic chill. Fast service but apparently I was lucky as it was not too crowdy. Menu is in English. If you have a few days in... More

The date is misleading. I last ate at Ninniku-Ya several years ago. However, folks tell me it is as good as ever. At the time there was two seatings, and it didn't take long to figure out when to start queing up. Every item is delicious and full of garlic. This is not the spot for a first date. Service... More

This place was incredible. Never ever eaten so much garlic in my life and the next day I suffered from the detox side effects the next day but the taste that night was unbelievable. Won't be kissing any girls for a week or so but can't wait for my next visit. Get the garlic bread to start. A baguette filled... More

Actually been longer than that since the last time I visited, but was checking this website to see if there was any recent reviews. I'm sure it's still good, but I'm actually surprised to find no reviews of it. Once of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at in the giant city of Tokyo. Everything I've eaten there was quite... Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
