Hashidaya specializes in all things chicken, and they didn't disappoint. We started the meal with a trio of chicken sashimi (breast, gizzard, and thigh meat), which came with two dipping sauces. I usually don't enjoy chicken sashimi but this was delicious--amazingly fresh (also, how often do you get to try raw chicken gizzard?). Next we ordered several kinds of yakitori.... More

This restaurant can cook up an amazing menu with everything chicken. Every part of the chicken is on the menu. If you are up to some chicken - check out this place. Their oyakodon (chicken + egg + rice) is simply beautiful but i also enjoyed their fried chicken wings too. Price is a little more expensive for dinner than... More

Don't miss this unique experience, what these people do with just chicken is nothing short of mind blowing... My recommendation - seat on the bar, order sake and slowly start ordering what ever looks good, just watching them work is a show on its own. Best dishes we had - Chicken sashimi ( !!!) Chicken on lava stone

Chanced upon a few recommendations online and we decided to visit this restaurant since is walk-able distance from Shibuya. They served traditional Japanese-style cuisine that specializes in chicken. The restaurant setting is simple, there are only bar counters seat facing the kitchen. You are able to get a clear view of the chef preparing your food. Believe majority of their... More

The ambience of the whole place is great, if you're looking for a place to blend with the locals, you might want to try out this restaurant. The oyakodon is delicious and has been a staple order for the 3rd time visiting there. The other 2 are good too, but nothing beats the oyakodon. The portion is very fulfilling and... More

The oyakadon (chicken and egg on rice) is the best I've had in my life. It's filling and tasty. The egg yolk is one of the most golden orange I've ever seen. The chicken is cooked perfectly moist. The rice is just perfectly cooked. I'd go out of my way to try this place. It's also really cheap and a... More

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
