We stopped here on our way into Harajuku, and it was early for lunch, so we only had to wait about five minutes. We ordered from the ticket machine, and then filled out the customization form to order the texture of the noodles, spice level,...etc. We really liked the individual cubicles, and you can unfold the sides if you want to see the person next to you. The service was great, as was the ramen!More

Ichiran Ramen's Harajuku branch is just a few steps away from Tokyu Plaza. You shouldn't leave Japan without trying their delicious ramen! The queue of Ichiran Ramen of Shinjuku might be long especially if it's dinner time so it would be best to try and...visit some other branches like the one in Harajuku. There's a queue as well when we arrived but we didn't wait for a long time. Ichiran Ramen offers the best ramen in the world! It tastes really good and addictive in my opinion! So of course, I finished my entire bowl!More

Very organized, with a concept that surprised me but was very enjoyable. The restaurant is very well placed and I had a very good time eating there during my trip. The staff was very polite and the service efficient. Would definitely come back !!

Queued for over an hour under the hot summer sun, but we knew we had to experience Ichiran. Once you get to the front of the line, you order/pay via a vending machine (by the way, SO CHEAP!) and choose your specifics (spicy or not,...texture of noodles, etc) on paper. Then you get inside and wait a little longer while seats open up. Once inside, each of us got our own little cubicle. Food & beer is popped inside the cubicle but you don't see the server thanks to a little curtain. Feels kind of surreal but really fun. No pressure to rush out either, we were able to relax after walking all day around Harajuku and Shibuya. Now, onto the food. The ramen was amazing - a little hint of fish in the broth (full disclosure, I'm not too keen on fish, but I liked it) and it was filling as anything. We were slurping away in our little boxes, and the cold beer was the cherry on top of a great meal. I'd say this was one of our favourite and most memorable meals in Japan. Great food, and a novel experience.More

The broth was tasty. Noodle texture was a little too soft although I selected ‘medium’. Ordered stewed pork as a side dish. It was tasty but a tad too salty after eating the whole plate. It was a pleasant meal but not to die for...or to queue a long time for.More

First thing we found out about this place was we had to preorder the meals from a vending machine. After that we were taken to a cosy little room and were served from a little window. We were then handed a piece of paper each...to decide the texture of the noodles, the spicyness of the broth and the condiments to accompany the ramen with. We ordered 4 ramens each for around 800 yen but as my younger son only like the noodles, we ended up ordering extra noodles for only 200 yen for the same quantity as the original order. Next time to save money, we will order 3 bowls of ramen and 3 extra noodles! Everything was delicious!More

Very tasty ramen, very interesting concept to allow you to better focus on the experience of eating and enjoy your meal. Loved that you can pick how you want your ramen (spicy, garlic, noodle texture). Only issue was it was a little confusing that the...vending machine to pre-order before you go in takes the money first before you select a dish. Once we figured that out it was simple and in English instructions inside for any extras you want to buy.More

Queued close to an hour during lunchtime but worth the wait! Ordered the ramen and added an egg to it. Perfect warm bowl of ramen!

Been to Ichiran 3 times and different location, but last 2 times was 2 years ago, the taste and the price doesn’t change at all! They even now have instant ramen for souvenir, really interesting!

Initially I was stunned by long queue in front of a small restaurant that looked like a wooden building that is sticked to a brick and mortar building. When I tried Ichiran Ramen, it is indeed the most delicious ramen in Japan. You will also...experience unique service in which you pay the food on a vending machine like counter and when it is your turn dine, the waiters will bring you to a small room with wooden chair and small window behind. Another waiter will check your order and asked if you have another request. What an interesting experience !!More

I guess majority of us agree that the ramen is great, I have personally tried it a few times during my visit to Japan. But im giving a bad review due to a bad encounter at this outlet on 17 Apr 19 (around 8-9pm). The...lady crew who was outside the shop guiding the queue was extremely rude. The queue was long and hence my mum and i stepped away to walk around while my husband queued. Shortly, the crew asked my husband how many of us are eating and he replied 3.The crew then informed that all the 3 of us must be present when he reached the staircase and so my husband immediately ring my phone to ask me to turn back. As we hurried back, the queue shorten and my husband had already reached the stairs, the service then refused to let my mum and i to join my husband. She mentioned that “ I have told you many times that” everyone must be present when you reach the staircase. I wish i have video tape how rude and unpleasant the service crew was like, she even rolled her eyes at us. The problem is even if we reached the staircase, there are still quite a number of people ahead of us (abt 8 or 10) in the queue and it would take almost another half an hour before it’s even our turn to reach the vending machine, so i really don’t understand why is this service crew insisting that everyone must be present when we reach the staircase, it’s not like it is almost our turn at the vending machine and we are still not back in the queue. We were so upset that we left the place without eating at all. The service crew should really learn how to be flexible and learn some service manners to avoid tarnishing the reputation and image of Ichiran. This is our first encounter with rude Japanese, what a bad experience ending our day on a bad note due to a bad service.More

Ramen was rich and tasty. The private booths were fun to see. You can pull back your divider if you want to see your neighbor! While you’re waiting in line, they give you an order sheet. The circles are their recommended choices. That’s what I...went with and it was delicious. The recommended is spicy and I loved it.More

There are countless opportunities to shop in the

Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.
