While staying in Tokyo backpackers which was a few streets down we had the opportunity to grab some pizza after a 12 hour stroll through Tokyo on a rainy day. Couldn't be bothered eating at a restaurant but now thinking back I was wish I did as the set up in there was warm, cozy and it looked like they... More

Needed a break from Japanese food. Really good quality food prepared by young, enthusiastic, competent and friendly staff. No they are not Italian pizzas but they are a very good alternative in a country with high standards in quality food. Enjoyable.

After being in Japan for 8 days you get a little tired of Japanese food. So a change of pace is nice. Pizza Salvatore had some very delicious food. Their gnocchi with white sauce and Parmesan cheese, was impressive. They have really good salads and The pizza's we had were very tasty. I was taken back that in Japan they... More

Located just East and down from the station, with a friendly atmosphere. Good place to stop for a beer. No chefs here. Simple fare is prepared by young staff, so quality varies. One plus for those of us who live nearby is that they will deliver. Four cheese pizza and Italian fried chicken are quite good. Worth a try.

They have a wood oven and the pizzas are pretty good. They also have a selection of pastas and cured hams. Overall a pretty decent spot if you're looking for pizza in Tokyo.

We needed a break from Japanese food, so what could be easier than a big, bright pizza place and bar near our hotel (near Yotsuya Station). Unfortunately, the quality of the pizza is well below the level an American would expect (let alone an Italian). And the food and drinks are expensive for what arrives. Furthermore, Salvatore is popular, takes... More

As vegetarians in Tokyo we were delighted to find this restaurant with its wide choice of food and helpful staff. It's popular with Japanese customers but usually possible to get a table early evening. The serving staff are patient and helpful when dealing with non-Japanese speakers. Most evenings one of the Italian managers is on site too. When you leave... More

So, I have been to Italy and I've eaten pizza there but this small unassuming restaurant in Shinjuku, Tokyo has certainly made its mark on me. It is quite simply the best pizza I've ever eaten. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant - lovely food, polite and helpful staff, nice wine. Just lovely all round.

Great place to lunch and for happy hour refreshments. I bring some of my customers there often as the service and food is excellent. Very popular with the ladies.

Staying in Yotsuya / Iidabashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this day, and there are long-standing restaurants with geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
