I ended up going here a couple times during my 6 day visit to Japan, once for beers and once for lunch. As other reviewers note, it is mainly an American food and beer bistro with a Japanese clientele. The beer is kind of a mixed bag...I found some varieties very, very good and others not so well done. The... More

This is a nice restaurant near the channel where you can enjoy a nice sunny day. Service is good and food is fine. Looks like an American restaurant in Tokyo with good burgers and local craft beer as well.... You should try them !!!! Dishes are big enough to share if you are not hungry (mainly desserts) but menu is... More

We met some friends here for dinner one evening, I expected it to be full of ex-pats but it was surprisingly a lot of Japanese people. I would stick to the beers they brew, the mixed drinks are weak and not what you expect given the menu. The food was pretty good, the menu has all different types of food,... More

I would avoid the mixed drinks as they are western recipes, not done very well. The Moscow Mule was just not right. The beer is excellent, the environment and service are great and it is a nice break for the US traveler to get some more familiar foods. I ordered a flatbread and it was very good. One in our... My friend and I caught up here for dinner on a Friday night. The staff were friendly and looked after us well. The overall atmosphere was also very pleasing. We enjoyed the seasonal pumpkin ale (it is a brewery, after all--and their wines were priced out of our budget) and shared several small dishes (scallops, spinach salad, buffalo wings), served... I know I'm only marking it a 3 but I would return here. We only visited as part of a business meeting and food was buffet style which I generally hate. But .... it was really good quality and I would say it augers well for a visit for dinner. Nice river side location and overall impressed.

Fantastic food, real western flavours. Everyone ate as much as possible, including the wife who had the ribs. Never seen her eat so much. The beer and cocktails must be made for Japanese, because they are horrible. Go there for the food ONLY.

If you are looking for authentic beer and western food in Shinagawa this is the place to be. No joking. They offer 6 different home made beers plus great food. Starters as well as main dishes. Located at the canal in Shinagawa even in October the outside experience is great. We had the 1kg T-Bone which was fantastic to share... More

We visited T.Y. Harbor Brewery for late evening snacks and drinks. We made it just in time for food service. The staff were happy to take our order, even though we were close to the deadline. We tried the Wheat Ale, which had a bubble gum taste. It was a nice flavor for the warm summer night.

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
