Arrived at pub at 5.25 and asked if restaurant was open. We were led through a door to the restaurant which was nice and clean. The manager was friendly enough and served us well. Food arrived quickly, poppadoms and chutneys and bhajees were excellent and very fresh. Main course wasn't as good as the starters as the curries didn't really... More

We saw a sign for an Indian restaurant but coudln't find the entrance. We walked into a pub bar and were warmly greeted - the landlord diversified several years ago ! The restaurant at the back was fairly basic but the food was DELICIOUS ! His service was attentive but not intrusive; we did not have to wait long for... More

Good tasty indian grub, well presented and freindly attentive staff. Shared a lamb and chicken dish and meat was tender and of decent quality. The sauce was consistent and with the right balance of spice and taste. Also, good to have a nice pint with a curry instead of that yellow fizzy water you get in alot of Indian restuarants.

Food broadly fine - the South Indian chilli chicken and what seemed like home-made lime pickle stood out. Poppadoms less good (slightly greasy) and we had to ask for plates to eat them and the pickles off, and to nudge when requested water was forgotten. And then we got a single glass, and the waiter didn't leave the jug, which... More

I must start by saying I don't normally bother doing reviews, but this was too good not too! I had the lamb bhuna. The lamb was cooked to perfection. It melted on my fork. Some places I've been the lamb had been hard and chewie. But not here! The rest of the curry was amazing. Wasn't too hot but still... More

We descended on mass!!! 16 of us were seated and food choices on the set menu was plentiful, our main dishes could have warmer in temperature but very tasty. Would happily visit again!!!

Admittedly we came with high expectations having come from an area in the midlands that has loads of excellent Indian restaurants. Sadly we were all left very disappointed from our take away. We unfortunately found the food bland and of low quality. The low light being The Ash House Special, which was anything but special. A real shame.

Very warm welcome and staff very helpful and sorted a taxi for me. Indian restaurant attached to the pub with very reasonable prices. Food was great and the takeaway service appeared popular.
