The fish was fresh but the overall quality of cooking was just average. A bit expensive compared to the average but in line with other very touristic locations.

Before leaving 19.00 in Brindisi I did a last trip from Taranto to the south east following the sea. I was in time for lunch at this very agreeable place. Although there are many tourists in this seaside town the food here tasted authentic, the portions were good, the price was right. I had a plate of raw seafood (oyster,... More
Fabulous seafood, fantastic spot, excellent wine, great service and very good value. What more could you want? We love this place and so has every one we have ever taken there.
Al Gambero is an obligatory visit if you are looking for a good dinner. The sea food was amazing; mussels were delicious also the grilled fish. All was fresh fish and it was very good cooked!! There is a terrace close to the sea where you can enjoy the lovely views. The waiter was so friendly with us, we recommend... More
Lovely food, fresh and taste fish. We had a wonderful lobster served in a pink rum sauce made by brilliant Salvo. I would also give my best compliments to cooking boys (Marco and Fabrizio).. At last but not least.. our table was by the sea..Al Gambero is an opportunity which we must make good use of and not allow to... More
I was surprised how good my two lunches hanpve been at Al Gambero this week after reading several of the reviews. The waiters refused to take orders for the first course until our appetizers were served, and then again for the second course. This would make more sense if the food were prepared... More

It specialised in seafood, which is hardly surprising given its name and location however the atmosphere and the quality of the food were superb. From a fresh fish anti pasta starter, through prawn... More
