My husband and I were traveling in the area in December. Low season for this area. It was difficult to find places open at all. This place opened for dinner around 6pm. We were the only ones in there for almost our entire meal. The menu was in French and the waitress didn't speak English. Thankfully, the owner/chief knew some... More

Quick efficient and friendly service. Starters were good and the main dish, Baked Cod Loin on Calamari sauce Risotto with Mushroom Froth was exceptional and delicious. Creme Brulee for desert, not so good.

I am not sure how to start this review but I don't think in all the years I have been travelling in France have I had such a poorly prepared, poorly presented and such awful food. This is NOT representative of French cuisine as have eaten in many places throughout France. Even the smallest, out of the way places served... More

The food here has always been superb - the price is great at 20 euros for a 3 course lunch, even the evening menus are a bargain. My only criticism from a visit made last year is that the service wasn't great. I'm delighted to say, as evidenced by five visits in 2016, this has been improved no end. Fantastic... More

The four of us had a fine experience. We arrived as it opened and were seated at an interior table, the window seats were either occupied or reserved. Unassuming decor, but fresh, ample, well cooked, delicious fish and shell fish. Reasonable prices. Good friendly service. No problems. Pleased we returned.

I tried a number of restaurants in Grandcamp Maisy. This one is 'head and shoulders' over the others. Excellent, food, wine (or cider if you prefer) and food. Over seven nights I eat there three times - each time was outstanding.

I visited with six friends, we arrived with big smiles and our polite British manners and most of us could speak French. However we were given the most unwelcoming greeting, which crescendoed throughout the evening. Our vegetarian received her main meal 30 minutes later than the rest of us; no apology for the fact they had simply "forgotten" her. When... More

Very unfortunate to have encountered this place. Probably the most unwelcoming restaurant in France.  And for France that's quite an achievement. The boss has a face like.....Well in the spirit of how the food is served; here are the ingredients: you make sense of it.  Bulldog.  Nettle. Wasp. For the record: Slab of overcooked tuna. Overcooked chips. Condemned to sit... More

Fine dining at reasonable prices. The seafood is awesome. Service was fast and friendly, but come early if you want to have fast service because it seems to get really busy later on. Staff switched language to english when they realized our french was fluent, which helped a bit. Everything was fresh and good quality, also the wine.

Had dinner here on a thursday night. Nice place in the port of a small town. The fishmarket is literally 10 meters away, so they pride themselves on fresh fish. We were not disappointed, both with the fish and with other dishes. Friendly staff, nice outside terrace, great location.
