Cheerful, friendly staff make this a welcoming place to stop for a refreshing drink and bite to eat. Pasty, Coke and an espresso were the perfect fuel mid-point on a bike ride in the Dales. (Cycling pictures and maps from 2014 TdF feature on walls inside without dominating.) Soup, sandwiches and great-looking cakes were also on offer. Cafe is bright... More

Currently with the lack of tea rooms open in the village they were very busy. No cheese scones but just as delicious home made cakes. And lots of lovely the to go with it. Friendly staff too. Worth a visit.

Well worth a visit. Great coffee/tea and lovely cakes and scones. Staff very friendly and service was good. Situated on the green and Reeth great after a local walk and easy access. I will return soon.

We stopped on our cycle route to be welcomed by all in the cafe. The service was very good and the choice was endless. The food was served very quickly and was certainly tasty, with what seemed like an endless teapot. We felt as if we were eating among friends.

This is the third visit I have made to this cafe, all my visits have been on cycling trips. The cafe is located in the perfect location after scaling either Grinton Moor, Buttertubs or Tan Hill...or in preparation for any of those climbs. Dad and I enjoyed a mug of tea and crumpets - all of which were just great.... More

Good for tea and scones or other sweets -- nice baked goods! Excellent service. Tables and chairs okay but not that comfortable.

Stopped off at lunchtime and enjoyed Wensleydale cheese and Mango chutney Ciabattas followed by chocolate biscuit cake. Everything tasted good and very friendly atmosphere.

My wife and I had coffee and toasties here. The drinks and food were great, but the service really set it apart. Very welcoming and friendly. A pleasure to visit!

Visited wife with and wheel-chair bound Mother-in-law. It was a shop not built for wheelchairs but they moved tables and gave MIL a marvellous view so their hospitality is second to none. And that was before we got to the cake! My wife described her chocolate and walnut brownie as the best ever - and she's picky and Yorkshire born... More

Under new management, we have changed the focus of Overton House. As well as serving homemade soups, light lunches, snacks and an array of sweet treats, we also sell many of these items to take out. Soup, sandwiches, savouries, scones and cakes are some examples. The small shop section of the cafe sells unusual deli items, Emma Bridgewater pottery and delicious treats from the likes of Mad Hatter Tea, Corks and Cases Masham, Taylor's of Harrogate and Nakd. As we're a family-owned, family-run business, we close on Mondays and Thursdays.
