We enjoyed our meal here and had no trouble booking a table. Portion size was good and quality too. The pub has a nice location, very close to the sea front. We passed on the desserts, which looked expensive for what they are. Good range...of cask ales.More

Me my partner and two of our family had dinner at this pub recently. We all had mains and two rounds of drinks. All the food was delicious 3 of us had seafood salad and one had Cajun chicken. Would highly recommend this pub especially...if you like seafood. Polite and attentive staff lovely atmosphere.More

We visited here for lunch, on arrival we waited at the bar to see if they had any tables, after about 5 minutes of not being acknowledged, we were then rudely told by a miserable arrogant member of staff to just find a table, this...made me and my family feel very unwanted. We then proceeded to visit Fish Cottage opposite the Hart inn where the service and food was absolutely fantastic.More

Called in for a G&T and a pint of black sheep beer. Not cheap and the beer was very disappointing. The landlord needs to clear his pipes more regularly...but with a captive transient audience maybe he wont bother...

We visited Sandsend for 2 weeks and had 3 x meals in the Hart Inn. 1 x lunch and 2 x dinner. At all times the food was exceptional. Fresh fish and seafood and HUGE portions. Great value for money and staff are very welcoming....It’s a very small pub/restaurant so would advise booking. Thoroughly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.More

Yes it is. There is a large patio area outside, if the weather is ok. Otherwise inside, but always ask at the bar where they would like you to sit.
