I took 29 members of the Wine and Dine group U3A Marina Baixa to this restaurant last week.A very good choice of food and no grumbles were given to me about it. Well spaced out tables with one of the best views on the Costa...Blanca. Many members asked about visiting again , which we will do sometime in the future.More

Eat inside or out in this lovely Spanish restaurant with a huge vista of the mountains and the sea beyond. A la carte or menu del dia options, all well-priced and the food we had (menu del dia number 2 for 19€ per person) was...delicious. A fresh salad followed by osobuco which fell off the bone and the sepia was just the right texture. Only the vegetables could have been improved upon. The home-made turron ice-cream was possibly the creamiest ice-cream we've ever had! Excellent coffee, mistella on the house and a bottle of wine for an amazing €43 for 2. German and his staff are very welcoming and attentive. We might just drive the hour from home just to come here for lunch. A very short walk from the centre of Guadelest.More

Following reservation, 17 of us from Benidorm International Friendship club visited here. The views from the restaurant and outdoor terrace were stunning, the staff were friendly and accommodating and the table was set nicely, although the traditional Spanish rafia chairs were a little uncomfortable. Most...settled for the set €14 three plate menu and a couple for a la cart options at about €15 single plate. Ali ollie was nicely home made and toasted barra slices were good too. One glass of wine or beer or soft drink was included but service was delayed and shambolic. Service of meals was also very disorganised, with those who ordered first served last and other parties arriving AFTER our group being served before us. My wife's meal, was completely forgotten and after finally arriving was obviously rushed with what looked, and tasted, like boiled salty pork swimming in water, instead of 'roast pork' as per the menu. Chips served with some meals looked and tasted like old warmed up leftovers. My adjacent friend enjoyed her mixed fish a la cart plate but had to complain about a €1 charge for bread as she was 'off menu'. Menu deserts were nothing special although the cake seemed the best and most plentiful choice. My wife's meal was sent back and chose not to eat anything else alone after everyone else had finished but an off menu sweet of pineapple was accepted in case of starvation. Overall....we would not go again but give them their due, my wife's meal and friend's bread was not charged. If you want to go somewhere for a special meal, you might want to think twice!More

Wondeful experience at this classic Spanish restaurant. Lovely view, excellent service and food. The house specialty, roasted lamb, was crisp on the outside, tender on the inside and the potatoes were meltingly savorful. The special first plate of local avocados with baby shrimp was well...balanced and the alternative melon and jamon serrano, a popular Spanish starter.More

We were going to Guadalest and wanted to eat somewhere with local flavor and a nice view. We saw this hidden gem on Tripadvisor and decided to book a table, and we were lucky enough to get the last free table (I would recommend to...book ahead though). Our waiter (who I think may also be the owner) was really nice and attentive, I came with some friends that didn’t speak Spanish and he was nice enough to make all of us feel comfortable and at home. The house wine is quite good and very well priced, the tapas were a good appetizer while we were waiting for the main course. The lamb was so delicious, best I ever had, and the portion is quite generous. The beef was very good as well, melts in your mouth. The “cherry on top” was the homemade chocolate & almond cake, prepared by the same nice man that was serving us, and he even treated us to another piece of cake :) And all of this in a perfect setting right at the heart of the mountains. And the atmosphere is very familiar and homy, there was a lady that turned 86 and she was celebrating her birthday, so the entire restaurant sang along to her family’s “Happy birthday” song. Great experience, will definitely come back!More

My Partner and I had dinner here one evening. The views are lovely. We sat inside and had a nice view. We ordered tapas which was good. We chose piella for our main course. The meat and fish were flavoursome and we'll cooked. The service...was good, although the restaurant was not over busy.More

Absolutely stunning view down the valley to the sea. The waiting staff were excellent, friendly, attentive and conversational. The food was of a good quality, lots of choice and at very reasonably priced. Well worth the trip a couple of minutes outside the town with...loads of parking.More
