We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and intended to eat ut at least once. The owner is not pushy at all about eating there each night, he just needs to know what your plans are. there is a three course menu with 5 choices for each course, served at lunchtime and dinner. We ate very well each night,... More

Yes the host/owner is a real character, bordering on rude. We stayed in the village for a week and this is one place I would never go back. Everything seemed to have been prepared days before and reheated for the meal. Duck was dry and almost uneatable. For the price and the build up I expected much more. The atmosphere... More

Friendly staff, good local food, great wine. Very pleasant experience, particularly having an aperitif in the courtyard in the back (very cute and quaint).

This is a charming restaurant in the heart of the medieval town of Caunes. The host, Fred, is a real character, very convivial and 'très amusant'. I was told that the family have owned the hotel for 300 years, so I guess they really know what they are doing! It is a beautiful setting to dine in. If it is... More

We were here with family and had an excellent meal - hosted by the owner, Federic Guirand. He whistles and hums a lot, but to me he was an excellent host. Food was very good. So much so went a second time, and the food was just as good

The Minervois region is a beautiful region in the Aude, and the Hotel d'Alibert lies within the village of Caunes-Minervois at the foothills of its mountains and just before the planes of the Minervois vineyards. It is magical and unique, and for those of us looking for a special French experience it is perfect. The hotel lies within the cobbled... More

We are privileged to have the Hotel d'Alibert in the centre of the village. The menu offers several choices for each course. The hotel and the adjacent building are of historic significance. The dining room is exquisite. In summer, to dine en plein aire in the courtyard is a special pleasure. In winter, the log fire makes dining indoors a... More
