This was our second visit , our first being nearly three years ago. On our first visit we were let down by waiting times and quite a few starters and mains being unavailable. It just didn’t have a good vibe to it. This time round...we couldn’t fault anything, what a wonderful place to visit!! Fantastic service, food was so delicious and all of the staff were polite and happy!! Beautiful setting, spoilt for choice to where you can sit and a bonus that dogs are allowed. Overall a lovely experience had by all. Also, loved the new outside seating area. Can’t wait to return 😀More

There was a car rally going on so expected the service to be slow, however it was mid afternoon so the mad lunch rush seemed to be over. On arrival we asked if we ordered at bar or if it was table service and was...told table service. The food arrived fairly quickly after we placed our order. The problem was placing the order. We were asked for drinks quite promptly and given menus. Then forgotten. We have worked in the industry so willing to forgive when it's busy, we understand. But they had obviously prepared for the car rally and there were a lot of staff and at least one if not three servers standing around looking over the tables, but avoiding eye contact, at one point 3 staff were standing 10 metres away with 4 of us trying to get their attention. In the end we had to go up and ask someone to take our order. We also ordered second drinks, which mine came out wrong size, but meh, never mind. The food was ok, nothing special, i had a chicken caeser, chicken was a bit hard and dry, but the salad was fine. There was a burger and chips on the table and again it was fine but nothing special, small portion. There were 4 of us and only 3 knives and forks came out. Of course the beer was amazing.More

Was there last Friday when it eas extremely busy. .The staff were run off their feet but where great and the service didnt suffer. The big guy who served us said he was an "office waller" who had been brought in to help and advised...me that I could get a discount in the shop ad I had dined. Three crates of 52 North will keep me going. Cheers big man i owe you. Food was excellent all washed fown with the west coast werry which i thought compared well to any other craft ale ive had.More

The beer garden is in a lovely setting with plenty of tables. All staff members we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a sandwich lunch which was very good value and excellent quality with fresh produce. We had a slight wait for our...food but they were busy no not above would be expected in the circumstances. The beer was excellent and of course very local. We will definitely visit again.More

We had come accross the pub on a walk and firstly noticed how pretty it was. One of the nicest looking pub gardens we'd ever seen. We only stopped for drinks and one of us had a sandwich but it was all great. We all...had different drinks, all made on site and very good. Brie and Fig sandwich was delicious. We'd only wished it was closer to the mooring on the river so we could have gone back for dinner. We stopped in the shop on the walk back to buy some bottles which was lovely tooMore

It is roughly a 15 min walk uphill to the Pub, from the Broad car park. There is no footpath and obviously, no street lights. Watch out for farm traffic.
