Visited the brewery shop to purchase some beers for recreational purposes and decided to return for Sunday dinner the next day. The food was amazing and the beer, wherry and reedshooter being superb. The bar staff/serving staff were all excellent could not fault them at...all. We will definitely return here on another Norfolk holiday no doubt about it. Thanks.More

I booked her via the website and it gave you an option of saying if it was a special occasion, which it was, my birthday. The food was not great sadly. I had a roast and the veg was nearly raw. It was warm at...best but we were hungry so we ate it. No visible kids menu so we had to ask what they did and try and remember all the options. We decided to give the desserts a go hoping that it was better but we sat there for a long time waiting for the young staff to come and clear our table until eventually; I asked if they could come over to us. The dessert said it was a ‘warm bake well tart’ but it wasn’t warm. The edges were cold. £2.50 for a scoop of ice cream is also bad. Sadly, I will not be returning here. A previous review has said exactly the same comments as myself. Not even an acknowledgment from the staff about my birthday either. I would avoid.More

Today for a Birthday celebration we visited for a family meal. We have eaten here in the past and always found it excellent, not so today. The very young staff seem to unable recognise when to take orders or not, and don't exhibit any warmth...to the customers. The menu has markedly changed, in my opinion not for the better, the meals were OK, not top quality but Ok, and the portions were small. The food wasn't very warm and that's our fault for not asking them to be warmed up, but I do expect food to be piping hot when it arrives and not be cold by the time you get half way through it - again we should have said something. The place is certainly not child friendly with no child menu available. Having to order a full meal for a 3 year old is not great, and the staff seemed unable to recognise that a smaller plate would have been useful. The deserts were good, but one small scoop of ice cream for a 3 year old at £2-50 is overpriced. And again nobody seemed to realise that a small possibly plastic dish would have been far more suitable that a full sized glass sundae dish. In a nut shell, small portions, not brilliant quality, not child friendly and overpriced. The place used to be far better than this, and we will not be looking to return in a hurry. Perhaps you could take a look at how the earlier management are doing at The Station Smokehouse in Hoveton, at the moment they are knocking you out of the park.More

Staying over night on the broads found this lovely pub , great smiley service , brilliant Sunday roast and the beer is delicious, thier own brewery means no shortage so we are settling in for the afternoon . It is so good to visit a...proper pub with a proper pre covid buzz of activity . Couldn't recommend it moreMore

Chance choice after a boat trip on the broads, although we have been here before as a couple. Very busy, but a friendly reception. We chose to eat in the garden and had a lovely leisurely lunch with good conversation and good friends. The menu...was varied and the food tasty. Yes, the service was a tad slow, but on such a great day, who cares? We'll be back!More

Probably like many others we walked from our boat om the broads to this very nice pub. Great outdoor seating area where we enjoyed some good beer and a very nice meal. Definitely recommended.

Went here with a girlfriend for lunch yesterday. Simple order 1 scampi one Caesar salad with halloumi fries as side order. Caesar salad got misordered and was sent a chicken dish which had to go back. Then arrived ORANGE ( I kid you not!) allegedly...halloumi fries all six in a bowl Luke warm and so chewy they had the consistency of eating polystyrene ! Still no Caesar salad ... meanwhile friend tucking into scampi to discover chips were old and had been heated up so not edible. When my Caesar arrived the bowl was swimming in water at the bottom. The chicken was like rubber, the croutons white and inedible, and the anchovies unsalted and just chucked on top. fur and Feathers your chef needs to learn how to cook I’m afraid. Truly awful. We did complain and sent half back. No offer of discount. On a good note the service was prompt and polite and the lime and soda great! Sadly won’t be rushing back or recommending anyone eats here!More

I agree with previous comment. Very, very slow service. Asked for a glass of water 4 times. Ciabatta was ok but chips were cold and rubbery (had to wait 40 minutes for food). Had to ask for cutlery, ketchup, salt and pepper, ketchup, Mayo and...serviettes. . No waitress to the table asking if everything was ok. Staff were just sauntering and not rushing for a clearly busy pub. As we were finishing our lunch a lovely young efficient lady came on the scene and cleared nearly every table which the younger staff hadn’t bothered with. Would I go back? Not until you improve ur staff and service. It can’t be that hard to prep a ciabatta and fries!!!!More

This was our second visit , our first being nearly three years ago. On our first visit we were let down by waiting times and quite a few starters and mains being unavailable. It just didn’t have a good vibe to it. This time round...we couldn’t fault anything, what a wonderful place to visit!! Fantastic service, food was so delicious and all of the staff were polite and happy!! Beautiful setting, spoilt for choice to where you can sit and a bonus that dogs are allowed. Overall a lovely experience had by all. Also, loved the new outside seating area. Can’t wait to return 😀More

There was a car rally going on so expected the service to be slow, however it was mid afternoon so the mad lunch rush seemed to be over. On arrival we asked if we ordered at bar or if it was table service and was...told table service. The food arrived fairly quickly after we placed our order. The problem was placing the order. We were asked for drinks quite promptly and given menus. Then forgotten. We have worked in the industry so willing to forgive when it's busy, we understand. But they had obviously prepared for the car rally and there were a lot of staff and at least one if not three servers standing around looking over the tables, but avoiding eye contact, at one point 3 staff were standing 10 metres away with 4 of us trying to get their attention. In the end we had to go up and ask someone to take our order. We also ordered second drinks, which mine came out wrong size, but meh, never mind. The food was ok, nothing special, i had a chicken caeser, chicken was a bit hard and dry, but the salad was fine. There was a burger and chips on the table and again it was fine but nothing special, small portion. There were 4 of us and only 3 knives and forks came out. Of course the beer was amazing.More

It is roughly a 15 min walk uphill to the Pub, from the Broad car park. There is no footpath and obviously, no street lights. Watch out for farm traffic.
