We ate at this restaurant on two evenings this week and we were not disappointed, on the first evening I had delicious lasagne and my husband had ham, egg and chips. He said the ham 'melted in your mouth'. On the second occasion we had two friends with us and as it was 'pie night', the men had that which... More

Just a thought...... Online Menu, prices are out of date, they have risen. Served by Hayley, very pleasant & helpful waitress. 2 of my party chose 10oz Rump Steak. Very well cooked & meal was appetising. My grandson had Chicken Goujons, & I chose a Beef & Horseradish Sandwich. Beef was a bit tough, but otherwise well presented, 'little'un' cleared... More

After arriving on a Saturday evening for a family meal (table of 12) we were shown to a table at the far end of the restaurant near a cold fire escape. We had to request a menu after a 20 minute wait and then wait a further 20 minutes for our order to be taken. Things then took an even... More

Have been here in the past and they had a carvery which was superb & great value for money. They no longer do the carvery. This time we ate here twice whilst staying at the hotel, the food now is very over priced for the quality you get. Starters & desserts were poor as well. The staff were pleasant enough... More

We stayed at the Best Western hotel for a night and ate here instead of the hotel. Glad we did too as it was lovely. Nice choice of real ales and ciders. They have theme nights for food too and even on a very busy Friday night they had one, 'grill night'. As part of the offer we both had... More

Sadly we will not return to this venue. Great location and nice food but the service was so abysmal a 2 couse meal took 3 hours. On arrival we stood around like lemons waiting to tell someone we had booked a table but nobody came so eventually we went to the bar to ask for our table. We sat down... More

I have been staying at the Hotel and I have eaten here every night and I have to say the service from the staff has been excellent, the menu varied with specials changing almost daily, I found all food cooked fresh and well presented and above all very tasty, a small criticism was the £19.50 for a rib eye turf...
