Never been before to Aubergine but had heard about the wonders of it from my daughter. Was surprised when she said she had booked a table for me and her grandmother an Afternoon tea for Mother's Day as West Kirkby is over an hour from my house. I knew it was going to be a great afternoon when we arrived... More

I went in last week to see what made it No.1 and have to admit I felt it was far from the best in west kirby. There was 1 girl trying to cope with every table by herself. She was working flat out doing her best but needed support. The menu was pleasent and prices right but the cold drinks... More

Went for Sunday brunch was not disappointed with food or environment. It is small but busy, staff obliging nice friendly staff with varied menu. Three of us went, my companions had full English breakfast which was hearty and included mushrooms, black pudding, beans, eggs sausage grilled tomatoes along with hash browns and toast of your choice (had soda bread). The... More

What a find! After a friend failing to come back to me on a recommendation for WK we chanced this place after seeing it Tripadvisor. Stunning food, honestly some of the best food we've had. The choice was amazing, really appetising menu, lots of different things on there. The food was delicious, brilliantly presented and great value. Clearly the folks... More

Very nice, reasonably priced place. Great food, really nice team, brilliant location. One of the best places I've been to on the Wirral.

I hadn't been here for a few years. I went yesterday at lunchtime and it hadn't changed. It's very busy, a lot of tables squeezed into a room, nice olde decor, a counter full of cakes and things, not minimalistic. My coronation sandwich was nice, chicken could have been more tender, nice salad with it. Friendly staff, good coffee.

Went late morning and had two full English breakfasts......friendly staff, quick service....food tasty.......got what looked like bought in hash browns instead of the advertised potatos.....they were nothing special but were ok........ambience was good.....ideally would have liked to see omelettes advertised on the menu.....but there was a nice variety of food on offer

Hi Joanne, many thanks for your kind review. Our cakes are very popular and do sell out quickly. Being made homemade we often struggle to meet demand, and I'm sorry if there wasn't a large selection on your visit. More

Four of us visited the café on Monday. We enjoyed wonderful light lunches. There was a hot Moroccan soup on offer with a standard coffee for £3 as an add on to a very full sandwich selling at £5.95. Three of us had soups and three of us sandwiches. We all followed up with coffee. I was particularly impressed by... More

I think we have been here at least three times now for breakfasts when visiting family in the area. The breakfast food is great, with friendly service. My only comment would be that they take cash only (not card) and - as we are eating here with a party of up to 6 people and spending up to £70+, we... More
