It wasn't really what we had expected regarding the pictures on the website. It was recommended to us by the guest services at our hotel. Luckily, the food was amazing and the service was really great. We had at least 3 plates of fried squid rings, they were absolutley delicious!

Every thursday this restaurant participates in the weekly pinchos night. Here you can get a variety of tapas. It only costs 2 euro for a tapa and a small wine or beer. Nice seaside view from the restaurant.

We chose this restaurant over the others on the front only for the menu. There was a good selection of meat but mainly sea food dishes. The service was good and food delicious. The butterflied fish and Canarian Sea Bream were well received after Prawn Rolls in a chili dip.

Great service, attention to detail, delicious food. We had the oysters, croquetas and smoked cheeses - but saw some great plates on the other tables! Will be back!

Canary island have good places to lunch (much more of bad food, of course), not too visibles for tourists . Nelson is one of these marvelous restaurants. Small, old fashioned decoration, but the food is sensational and the service absolutely 10. The red tuna was fresh, amazing, and expertly prepared. One of the top restaurants in the island. Maybe the... More

We went there 2-3 times during a week of windsurfing in Pozo - Gran Canaria. The place is simple but the chef and owner is an artist at the craft of cooking fish. Don't bother looking at the menu! Ask him what he's got fresh from the market and he'll blow you away! We had some fish salad starters and... More

Gran canaria is a bit of a gastronomic desert but Nelson bucks the trend. Positioned on the waterfront and with buzzers on the table for service we didn't know what to expect but we had tuna, lightly seared and prawns with garlic and they we're fantastic. Best food on the island!

Let's be clear: Gran Canaria is a bit of an odd place: we came here with a few mates to windsurf. But the Nelson is a real little gem? If the interior design is a little dated but the food was sensational and the service absolutely top notch. We had an amazing fish expertly prepared, the chef was really charming.... More

We have really enjoyed our visits at Nelson: Spectacular views, nice cozy decor with an art exhibition, friendly service, delicious food, wine and sweet... We go each year to Arinaga and a Nelson-visit is an absolutely must.
