We visited the Boathouse while staying in Kingairloch. The restaurant is in a fantastic setting overlooking the loch with a balcony over the water for finer days. The place is immaculately decorated and the chef Chris made us very welcome indeed. The menu had a range of great local food (venison, scallops etc) with items sometimes caught fresh from the... Good food served in a super location freshly prepared in this lovely wee restaurant. It was nice to see the boathouse open again and new chef and waitress combination who were very friendly and looked after us very well.

A friend recommended The Boathouse as he'd eaten here several times and we weren't disappointed. We came here for lunch on a pretty dull and rainy day and as a result it wasn't very busy, however, the welcome was warm and the food was well cooked and delicious. The view from the restaurant is beautiful and you can easily spend... More

Wow .... I do like mushroom soup, but this was superlative ... fresh and tasty, and excellent value. I'd been warned how good the pear and almond tart was - and I wasn't disappointed. The main course of crash cakes was equally tasty. A fine dinner, and so glad I'll be back in two weeks!

Had an exceptional lunch here on 22.09.16 We were made to feel very welcome by the Chef and his wife, service was excellent. The food was freshly prepared, the kitchen is observable from the restaurant; and it was explained that the ingredients are sourced locally. What added to the exceptional food was the breathtaking drive to the restaurant and the... More

We sailed in here last night and were delighted to get a table. The food was great and the service first class. We will definitely return. For sailors there are 6 moorings which are free for diners. The entrance to the loch is easy to navigate and the scenery is spectacular.

We found this by chance as we noticed the sign on the way to the Mull ferry, we called in on our way back to book for the following night. It is well off the beaten track but worth the drive. Beautiful decorated restaurant with views second to none across Loch Linnie. We booked as it was my partners 50th... More
