Nice seafood and the boss

If you are staying at Chenang, this place must be considering far to you. This place was located at Kuah city. But trust me, travel to there at all cost, you will never regret. The restaurant is air-conditioning and clean. The seafood is very fresh and is at a very cheap price. I love the way of their cooking, the taste is very local. The boss even show us the size of the prawn before they prepared for us. He even suggested us not to order too much in case we cannot finish it. Guess what, we even had our 2nd night dinner at the same place. It's worth it.

Yummy and Reasonable Price

Read good reviews and went to this restaurant with my family of 6 for lunch. No regrets! Food was good and staff were so friendly and attentive. Even provided scissors in case we needed to cut the food for elderly. Ended up we didn't use the scissors as all the food were tender enough. Ordered 6 dishes including soft shell crab, fuyong egg, venison, soy sauce chicken, beancurd and spinach. Fuyong egg which is actually cabbage with eggs is especially nice and has wok-hey. Kids love the soft shell crab. Venison is very tender. Total price for our lunch including a pot of tea was very reasonable at RM 138. Place is just a short drive from Eagle's Square. There is parking right outside. Take note that this restaurant's last order for lunch is at 2:30pm. Highly recommended.

Great quality seafood in a divy setting with AC

The restaurant looks divy but this 3rd generation run family restaurant focuses on quality of the live seafood. They have mantis prawns, large river prawns, and crabs. The quality of the cooking was great except for the fish. The fish is not live but maybe this is subject to seasonal availability. Their sauces and cooking of the shrimp was great! Would highly recommend if you don’t mind the ambiance if you don’t want to pay for the below average quality and high prices of the St Regis L’Orangerie.

I heard the lady boss scold the customer

Our family come for dinner time, it's full that time then we waited at outside. After a while, I heard the lady boss at inside shout suddenly in front of customers were ordering food. She scolded customer because they asked her why fish is very expensive, so she yelled them directly and told them think expensive then go to another restaurant. After that we leave directly and get in a car to another place to have dinner. It is very awful and unforgettable experience.

The best in Langkawi

Located in town a small restaurant with not more than 10 tables. The aged uncle was great even he spoke little English. The seafood were fresh and tasty. The best was it was lower than we expected on the pricing. Had prawns crab squid and vegetables... had to visit if you are in Langkawi

Great value with no frills

Don't be put off by the facade and interior decor, the food is full of flavour, fresh and served promptly. We had deep fried squid which was tender and beautifully cooked, steamed grouper in a nonya sauce which was incredible and some veg. With a pot of tea the cost was MYR 100, so great value.

Tasty seafood

Was recommended by friends and we were not disappointed. Ordered prawns cooked in 2 styles, steamed garoupa, eggs with oysters and a vege dish. The prawns and fish were fresh and tasty. Service was fast and the lady boss was very efficient with good recommendation. We could order drinks from the pub next door which was most convenient. We returned for dinnercthe next day. Good value

Definitely worth a visit

We stumbled across this restaurant by accident after having gone to another restaurant which had top reviews, when we got there it was empty. This restaurant was full of locals which to me is a good sign. The food was great and very flavoursome and prices are good.

Good fresh seafood

Had oysters in egg, clams and squid. Food was tasty, fresh and service was quick. Unlike some other places where everything is done with salted egg, there was a variety of seasonings here! Prices were reasonable. Overall would recommend.

Tasty, Cheap, Air Cond place

I have been enjoying the foods since last 15 years... and will continue whenever visiting the Island. The taste is good and not expansive. Try the tomyam, fish ABC, prawn asam, Kobis cili, etc.. all are nice.. prepare your stomach only 😂

Fresh seafood

Place is not that big so better come early else will be full. We had teow chew steam garoupa fish, oyster omelet, mantis prawn and asam prawn. All taste nice. 1 rice and 2 tea. Total RM136. Reasonable priced.
