We were staying at the Bayview and saw adverts for their unlimited Chinese buffet, including 50 dishese for RM 41. However, despite staying in the hotel for one week we didn't see the restaurant open. We did have a couple of drinks in the Flamingo Coffee house, where there was a good selection of Malaysian food, but at very high prices.

i've tried the buffet steamboat here, the price quite ok but not much choices. the seafood are not so fresh. i think i can find better steamboat restaurant in other place.

The restaurant is located in the Bay View Hotel. We went for dinner one evening and were presented with either a buffet or a la carte, we opted for the a la carte which surely had something for everyone.
The food was excellent, and they do serve alcohol. The Crab meat and corn soup was great, as was the Stir fried beef, Asparagus with prawn and Phoenix fried rice. We didn't have room for dessert afterwards, unfortunately.
The restaurant is decorated very well. It was a shame we were there on a very quiet night with only 3 or 4 other tables occupied. The service was very good and we would go there again.

We had dinner in several plates. The soup of the day was chicken corn in a nice broth with veggies. We shared the pineapple fried rice, the Phoenix fried Kuey Teow and the chicken in honey sauce. Excellent service also.

With a Chinese food lovers in mind, this is a Excellent choice for cook your own recipe options if flexible with budget. For us being Vegetarian we could not find enough options to spend the money on Buffet even the ambiance and service levels are excellent

I came here . Kaubol restaurant,夜猫子 in chinese. Because teo n wonderland was under renovation. I took the pepper crabs , steam fish , scramble eggs n bitter gout soup. The taste is not bad . But the cost is in high side, compare to other two , l mentioned.

For 38 RM per pax, we had steamboat and grill buffet after seeing ads on free map. It's located in Bayview hotel in Kuah area. The food selection is limited and ambiance is ok but not the best. The service was quite good tho. They charge separately for Chinese tea but didn't tell us earlier (and the Chinese tea was a mix of 2 diff tea leaves!! I hope it's not left overs!!)
For the price, we wouldn't recommend you to travel down purposely for the buffet. You can find a better one else where.

We just had a great diner at the phoenix, they served a steamboat buffet which was our first time. Great food and really friendly staff, they even helped us sort everything out with the buffet.

Not too much fond of Chinese food... I happened to be here with friends... I liked the ambience very much along with the veg food.... The noodles are really good and I loved them so much that I have visited many times after that.... Good place for a team outing as well cos of their formal environment... The lunch buffet is also one of the options they have and I liked their desserts a lot in the buffet....

We had the steamboat buffet . The advertising looked great did not reach anywhere near expectations, We were the only people in the restaurant along with many staff who could not speak English. The steamboat had some assorted seafood which was very small and the fish had bones. The rest of the ingredients consisted of manufactured meats of different shapes and colours. Coke was MR 12 per can !!! It was a very disappointing experience.

It was not bad, but it definitely was not good either. Choices are limited and the ambiance is absolutely terrible. Staff does not speak very good English. To top it all off, they serve a glass of coke for RM12. I would not recommend this place to others.

I was there last week. I had dim sum buffet and my family had ala carte order from next restaurant. .. service was excellent food good and all my family member happy... special thanks to wani... she really nice and professional service. .. I will suggest to all friends

The service was good and prices very reasonable. The food was a mix of reasonable well prepared Chinese and some not so great. We dined there twice and each time had at least one meal which was not up to expectations.

Good sumptuous amount at very reasonable price. This is the first time that I saw a message in a restaurant saying "We should not waste food. You will be charged 10 Ringgit for every 100grams wasted". Great message especially to children.
