We’ve been in Malaysia for 10 days already and have had a variety of great food but this place has by far been our favorite!! We’ve been in Langkawi for 2 days and have come for dinner twice already! The meat is juicy and well prepared with spices and the salad is both beautiful and delicious!!!! We’ve had the mixed grill, fish, and lamb burger all of which we loved. The watermelon lychee juice was so well presented and thirst quenching as well! The staff are all super friendly and can help you make the best choice if you can’t decide. Will definitely be back again!!!

Really fancied a good quality fillet steak for a change and certainly got one. If anything mine was a bit too done but the flavour was great, as was the chimichurri sauce.
We shared the hummus too based on other trip adviser recommendations and it was delicious.
My complaint was that the potatoes were totally undercooked, still hard. A shame or this would easily have been a five star review.
The service was efficient without being particularly friendly.
Good clean loo too (something which is VERY hard to find!!).

We visited on Raya and there were 2-3 staff available serving multiple groups of people. Even though they were really busy having to cook, serve, cashier, clean, they remained professional and polite towards us. Food was really good as well! We ordered the 2pax mix grill and enjoyed the chicken and lamb skewers! The flatbread with the sauces was delicious too.
I would suggest sitting inside as the outside tables had many flies around which can’t be avoided.
While the food took some time (which can’t be avoided given the crowd+ low manpower), we had a comfortable and delectable meal inside.

Shocked to have been served fried chicken the arrogant Pakistani owner claimed it was a chicken tikka?!?!?
While it was edible and came with chips.. he made the insistent excuse that it is what we ordered.. seems the customer is not right!
The price was too high, in hindsight we should have gone to the KFC in the mall as the portion would have been much larger with the service being much better
He has lost our business and we won't go back there again.
I don't recommend anyone else should try Arang... regardless the place is situated on the beach

On my two week stay in Langkawi I visited Arang BBQ 9 times. The reason I keep going back is simple. The owners care and put heart into it. The cuisine is Western and Middle Eastern. The quality of ingredients is very high, and the chef puts a lot of heart into the food. I can highly recommend their BBQ platters, and their brownies & ice cream dessert!

We ate here and saw good reviews, however the chicken kebab had chicken which was not cooked in the middle. I told the waiter and he took away the meat, but did not apologise or offer us a replacement. Not what we expected - very dissappointing.

Disappointed by the seafood platter. Flavours were good but imagine the feeling when you're paying 150 MYR for the fish platter but the next table pays 55 MYR for just fish and chips but their sea bass is a LOT bigger! The hummus with the falafel was smaller than a mini ketchup from McDonald's, and this is in a Syrian restaurant where hummus should be served generously. The waitress though sweet, was unhelpful. Our most expensive meal on Langkawi and the least satisfying

If you looking for a good burger then this is a good choice. Burgers are done fresh on the BBQ. It was quiet when I was there but when I look at the menu it looks like most dishes are cooked on the BBQ. Nice small, clean little place away from the busyness of Cenang beach

Food was bloody amazing. Came here when it was raining heavily and thought it was closed. We were sad but waited for a bit then these two men came out of their car like goddes of food or something. We ordered the mix grill and bbq prawns... it was the most amazing food we've had on our trip so far. The waiter was pretty cute as well. Even the garlic sauce was delicious, the chicken was so tender and the prawns was so flavourful.

OMG, the food is absolutely delicious. This restaurant is a total Gem . My family had such a delicious dinner at this restaurant . The only regret we have is discovering this place on our last night in Langkawi. We had the Family platter which includes lamb, lamb and chicken krbab and grilled chicken ; the flesh of the chicken literally falls off so effortlessly . For the starter , we had the something called the Trio which comes with 3 different sauces and bread . I never knew bread can taste so good with sauces...
I ordered the Lemongrass punch...it was so refreshing I had 2 of it . Everything here is worth the price. This is a place that I intend to visit many more times when I m back in Langkawi again...

This has to be one of best restaurants in Langkawi. We arrived there as a family of 6 from the UK, exhausted after few days of eating local food and seafood and I must say the food was so delicious and the restaurant staff served us with a very friendly and welcoming manner. The mixed grilled was so tasty and the meat was succulent and well cooked. Absolutely amazing. Thank you Udai and your team.

We came into the restaurant looking for a late dinner, we came to the right place. We were greeted very kindly by the owner, and had a very pleasant conversation with him before ordering, he was genuinely one of the kindest people i’ve met in a while. We ordered our food and drinks which came within 10 minutes, the food was absolutely amazing, the best syrian restaurant i’ve ever eaten at, everything was exactly on point. The people being kind, the very fast delivery of food, and the taste of the food itself makes Arang the perfect dinner place to go to. Delicious

Saw good reviews on Trip Advisor and liked the idea it was an independent restaurant.
Ran by brothers ,who were lovely.
We chose the baked over charcoals Seq Bass - delicious and under £10 per person !
Cocktails were a good quality.
Very clean .
We saw they treated families with children very well ( you can get burger and chips or pasta here )

Had dinner here 3 times. Nice people, plenty of seating inside and out.
Limited menu when we went although signage board suggested more.
Burger was delicious first time but second visit it had added herbs to the meat and was overpowering.
Beers could be colder.
Worth trying again.

Arang was one of the best meals we had in Langkawi. The quality of the flatbread, dips and grilled meats was fantastic (we had the grilled beef ribs and the family meat mix grill). And don’t miss out on the freezies- the lemongrass punch was our favourite. The service from the 3 Syrian brothers was personable and warm - they even offered my son a free flatbread to go when he said he wanted more.
