We were seeking refuge from the surprisingly expensive pots and stumbled into this lovely café. Good quality, well priced, friendly service.

Having driven past many times, I decided to visit with my parents. Lots of interesting things to look at and the cafe seemed lovely. Friendly owner who said she was available if we had questions but we were free to wander. Very expensive though so...More

A bit overpriced considering is a small cafe and not very accessible. The service was good but the drinks were not great.

We visited this place by accident. It didn't look attractive when we past the car park as the signage seems telling us to go further down. Until we walked past the front building, wow it looked amazing. The different kinds of pots, plants and water...More

The coffee at Pots and Pithoi is consistently excellent. A little on the pricey side, but worth those extra pennies. Elegant and stylish, with a relaxed atmosphere.

We visited this place a few weeks ago and found the place to be ridiculously over priced and extremely pretentious. You can't use your card to purchase anything under £10 and the café is ridiculously extortionate for no good reason. As there are so many...More

A lovely place to sit either inside or out. On the first warm day of the year my friend and I sat outside in the garden - it was glorious sitting amongst the pots and flowers. Very Mediterranean. The service was arm and friendly and...More

Great place to meet for lunch, cake, coffee with friends. Although very pricey the pottery and other merchandise are beautiful and unique. A great place to buy a gift. I enjoyed my vegetarian fritters and very large plate of salad greens but thought £10 was...More

As of 20 sept 2016, Pots and Pithoi will not be serving hot food due to kitchen renovation. Cakes and coffee still available! Established in 1985, Pots and Pithoi were the first to introduce handmade Cretan terracotta pots to the UK and we have the largest selection in the country. Our renovated farmbuidings, medieval barn, and mediterranean-style courtyard provide the perfect setting for our pots and an enticing array of artisan wares for the home; ceramics, olive wood products, glass and original gifts. The cafe is located in the old dairy and outdoor seating is also available. We serve modern interpretations of Cretan cuisine, skillfully prepared with cretan olive oil, fresh vegetables and herbs. The Menu is inspired by our visits to our Cretan potters and their great hospitality. Enjoy savory pies made with crumbly pastry, fresh soups and seasonal salads - with a slice of freshly-baked cakes and a cappuccino for dessert. Lunch is served from 11:00-2:00 with coffee and cake available throughout the day. Currently serving no lunch on Sundays. Phone to make reservations.
