Lovely selection for Sussex products. Everything is quality and fresh. Prices were very reasonable. Lovely staff team. This shop has an old fashioned, relaxed, atmosphere.

My advice is simply don't bother with this average experience which is a lesson in style over any degree of substance. The food nothing special, the service slow and in attentive and the prices aren't value for money (£3.95 for a watery orange juice and £5.95 for porridge). If you want a decent breakfast around Steyning go to Goldings Barn... More

Set at the back of their shop, the restaurant has a simple, casual atmosphere. The food we had was very good indeed, and was quite sufficient in size for lunch. Not sure why you would serve the leg of roast pheasant whole, as it is so fiddly to eat, better make it into a croquet or similar. That apart, no... More

I went for lunch on Wednesday and had the most delicious quiche ever! Serve with a lovely salad. Delightful staff and cosy setting. To be recommended.

Took my elderly Mother and a friend here on Sunday morning for breakfast and it was lovely. We booked a table as it can get busy and the four of us had full English breakfast, which was lovely. Everything was perfectly cooked and lovely and hot and the atmosphere was great. All kitted out for Christmas which was great. Would... More

This place used to be really great - good quality ingredients, cooked well and with care. Things are a little different now. Although the service was very good we all had issues with our breakfasts unfortunately. Both full English breakfasts were pretty much stone cold on big cold plates. Also, the poached eggs were hard/overcooked, so more like hard-boiled. The... More

Hello and thank you for taking the time and trouble to write in. While I'm delighted that our service remains of a high standard I'm none the less concerned at the issues you experienced with us during your recent visit. While I shall not deliberate or explain the reasons for the issues I can confirm that our Head Chef has... More

They serve a really delicious full English breakfast. I had one a few months ago and was disappointed to find it served on a stone cold plate. My husband took me there for breakfast yesterday morning after an overnight flight from Texas. We requested a warm plate but it still turned up cold. A fried egg on a cold plate... More

Busy weekday lunch service but we got a table, were served quickly (sussex rarebit and pigeon) and the food was pretty good. Not amazing but pretty good. Service was fun, friendly and cheeky (which was good). The real star here though is the deli, which has some outstanding local (and not so local) produce. It's a deli so not cheap... More

Pleasantly quiet, good coffee, nice atmosphere. Would go again. Menu looked interesting but we didn't have time to try food.
