This is a lovely pub / restaurant to visit. Friendly staff , nice beer with guest ales. The food is good honest grub and not over priced. We love this place.

Staying at Premier Inn and looked as though linked pubs were not good based on other ratings. Picked this pub and was very glad that I did. Friendly welcome - several locals drinking there when I arrived. Great food - ordered from blackboard. Huge cheesecake for desert with 2 dollops of ice cream, and reasonable cost.

We had been let down by the restaurant next door to the premier inn that we were staying at so we drove towards St Neots and found this place. It was a Saturday night and was busy but we were told to find ourselves a table and place an order for food at the bar. The Menu was on a... More

Great for lunches, or evening meal. Homecooked food at good prices. Friendly staff. If going for lunch, I recommend you order a side portion of chips to share to go with your sandwich! they are the best.

We went here last night as a last minute. As pub grub, it was superb. The staff were very friendly, efficient and very helpful. We shared the mushrooms as a starter. 6 for £4.75 was a bit steep I thought. The battered mushrooms rolled around the plate. Very standard pub starter. Not being a veggie, I went for the veg... George Orwell wrote about the great British pub, the Moon under Water I think. I would class the Waggon & Horses as a good template. Been coming for years, although not so often now (I have retired) the food is good, the beer is good, the staff are good. Just a damn good pub.

Came for early evening dinner based on excellent reviews from others. I would definitely challenge the source of these. If true, we clearly must have significantly higher expectations. On entering the pub, the smell of stagnant urine permeates from the toilets. Given it is an old building I gave it the benefit of doubt possibly coming from the age of... More

This was a last minute decision to try and find a place which did not appear to serve typical pub food. The menu is written on a blackboard and is quite varied. We all had different starters and they all looked and tasted good. The deep fried Brie triangles with red currant pickle was especially good. The mains were also... More

We had a last minute phonecall from friends from Dorset who were travelling to Scotland and wanted to meet up for dinner. They were travelling in their motorhomes so needed somewhere with a large carpark. We all chose something different and all were very pleased with our food. My husband chose the trio of sausages and said they were delicious,... More
