If you are looking for somewhere traditional where you are unlikely to find children "ruling the roost" this is the venue for you. Whilst children are welcome to eat with their parents in the restaurant the clientele of this pub tend to be couples or...More

It was my birthday and so my choice as to where we went. It really didn't take much thought. I love the surroundings. Beer is good and food is superb. I thoroughly recommend the Rib Eye! Looking forward to the next visit.

We still think this is the best pub for food in St Neots and Eaton Socon. Staff exceptionally pleasant, sensible menu, well cooked. Decor beginning to look dated, but hey, it's a pub.

I use the W+H fairly regularly. Good Points: The girls behind the bar are brilliant. Good quality pub food. The beer is always well kept and well served. Not So Good Points. The interior decor, furniture and carpets are worn and very dated. Dingy lighting....More

We revisited after along absence and a well worth visit too. Varied menu ( not to large). Nicely presented hot food. Excellent chips. Excellent deserts. Good friendly staff. Good tasty pub grub at pub grub prices

Unfortunately you cannot give 0/5... walked into to a gentleman telling us not to bother going in... wish we had listened to him. The man behind the bar was awfully rude. We walked in and one of our party commented on the smell on the...More

Quick and friendly service, varied menu, and cosy traditional surroundings. Everything but the starters seemed homemade ... perhaps slightly above average but nothing more. Fine for a quick uncomplicated bite.

Traditional village pub. Good parking and cheerful staff. However when we arrived at 13.50 we were informed it was too late for a cooked meal but we could have sandwiches if we ordered quickly. Not a problem so a hot Brie and bacon on brown...More

We have eaten here so many times over the years, but somehow I have never got around to writing a review. Perhaps when somewhere is local and so good it is easy to take it for granted. A lovely atmosphere, great service, good selection of...More

Years ago this used to be my local and last week I had the chance of a lunchtime visit with a friend. The layout was more or less as I remembered; a traditional country pub. Two real ales were on offer, we had the Reverend...More

Just a couple of benches on the roadside. Best beer gardens in the village are the Rivermill and the White Horse.
