Hadn't booked, table of three. The food was lovely and the surroundings were nice. Food was of a very good standard, beautiful presentation and flavours worked well. Some of the staff i would say were outstanding and some needed extra training. As new in the area we will be returning!!! Thanks for a nice Sunday lunch

Nice Sunday lunch-decent meat-big bowl veg, good selection of beers. Pudding was excellent. Service good, seated right away, could of done with asking if we were ok after meals were served as we wanted more drinks and some extra gravy but they were quite busy so can understand. Would of liked the log burner on as it was a tad... More

The food was very enjoyable and was probably the best bit of battered haddock I've ever had, The chunky chips were superb, I can only fault the amount of chips.... far to few, it's not that there should be a plate full but i can honestly say there were only 7 or 8. The staff were lovely, friendly and polite.

We booked for 2pm , it was fairly busy and only one person behind the bar , so took 10 minutes to tell her we were there and a table was booked. We were seated but no one came to take our drinks order so we had to go to the bar to order, drinks arrived , but we had... More

It will certainly be one I will never forget. Some of the meals were OK. The steak was not cooked to specification medium/rare, not cooked well done on one side; very tough to eat. The gammon was burnt on one side and the burger was very touch to eat. The table was booked with amendment of 2 extra people, 'yes'... More

What A TERRIBLE experience The service was very slow. The food did not reach expectation, and to top it off the language and rowdiness from the bar area was awful. Spoilt my birthday, will not be visiting there again!!!

We ate here with friends and it's safe to say we thought the food was excellent. We skipped starters to be sure we had room for desert. My wife and I had the belly pork which came with crushed new potatoes and kale. It was excellent especially the crackling. The chicken salad was also impressive. Deserts were ordered and there... We popped in on a Monday night meal. We were greeted and served by a lovely waitress called Victoria who was polite, attentive and courteous throughout our meal. The food tasted delicious and was great value. Would definitely come back.

The food was very good as was the service. My only complaint is that, like many other establishments, the food was server on a wooden board. Plates are much more practical and designed for the job.
