Lovely, good quality food with attentive staff. Started with canapés in the lounge followed by four courses, not too large but can be supplemented with extra side orders (recommend cauliflower cheese) . All dishes were cooked to perfection and the types of bread offered were different and appetising! All of this followed by coffee and petit fours back in the... More

An excellent meal, with no hesitation to recommend it. The evening meal, my only criticism would be that my appetiser was a little dry. I ordered a duck starter with 3 diffierent items using duck. It could have done with a bit of sauce. The beef Wellington was excellent - we couldn't fault it. I chose a Chocolate slice for... More

The restaurant is a good option in the Ullswater lake. The food is good while the wine list is quite unique and pleasant. It happened that they had a promotion on wines and the options were very good. Staff are very helpful. You might have to wait at the hotel lounge if it is too busy. There you can have... More

Because of the extensive flooding they were only about quarter full. It must add extra pressure to the chefs and the waiting staff in these conditions, not these guys they were excellent.

We stayed here for three nights on their Christmas package. All meals were included and were absolutely fantastic. We had a candle light dinner on Xmas eve of seven courses. Christmas lunch was fine dining, buffet Xmas night. And fine dining again on Boxing Day. We could not fault any of the courses. Right up our street. Loved every bit... More

The food is served in such a manner that it is almost a crime to eat it. The portions appear small but that is an illusion, they are delicious and filling. The chef that makes the bread is extremely skilled a and innovative. Deliciousness in every loaf. Thank you. The service is excellent and not intrusive.....Louise is a credit and... More

The food (set menu limited choice but with great canapé's and amuse bouche etc etc) was great quality, very well cooked and presented. The location and view make it a romantic venue. The downside is that it is quiet and has little atmosphere which can detract from the food. maybe it was just a quiet night ?(however the hotel was... More

Amazing food! This is not a cheap restaurant nor should it be as the food and dining experience was fab! A good variety of well presented, and delicately prepared meals all using fresh local produce. It has won numerous awards and i'm not surprised, I couldn't fault my meals at all. The staff do an amazing job and provide an... More

For the finest in Cumbrian Lake District dining, this AA rosette winning restaurant in Waterwillock comes complete with 22 acres of gardens, a helipad and private access to the shores of Ullswater. In other words, this 200 year old retreat is the James Bond of country house hotels, and therefore a popular choice for weddings and private parties. The acclaimed Regency Restaurant is just another reason why Leeming House is such a desirable destination. The dining room decorated with plush carpets, garden-fresh roses and theatrical drapes enjoys panoramic views of the gardens and lake, and the modern British menu includes favourites such as the pan-fried coley with crushed potatoes, and the glazed lemongrass tart.
