Food was average and but nothing very special. Noticed a lot of diners left food on their plates. Wine list was very limited but as this is predominately a pub thats not surprising.

We visited at lunchtime on Saturday, there were nine of us in total including three children. Three of us picked something from the specials board and we were not disappointed!!! There is a fantastic selection of fish, meat and vegetarian options with lots of locally sourced produce. I can highly recommend the smoked haddock, it was amazing. Staff were friendly and... More

Really wished we'd eaten here when staying at the nearby hotel. We visited on our last night when we'd already eaten. There is a very smart eating area inside. We sat outside with our drinks as we were with our young children. The Inn is situated on the edge of the Menai Straits and our children were happily able to... More

Have just had one of the best meals. 3 half chickens, 3 beef and half chicken and 1 roast pork. Plenty of veg green beans carrots, red cabbage, roast, mash and new potatoes stuffing and Yorkshire puddings. Beautifully cooked, service excellent, staff welcoming. Desserts lovely. Can't wait until November for the next meal there.

I visited here for one night on a business trip. I found the staff to be helpful and welcoming (along with the friendly locals) from the moment I arrived. I arrived a little late for lunch but I was soon eating a very good sandwich and pint . The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The food was great,... More

On arrival we bought some drinks at the bar and waited for the last of our party to arrive. A waitress appeared and we were told to 'go to your table, it's only booked until 8'. The first person to order wanted a starter to come with the main but we were promptly and very rudely told 'you don't have... More

In reply to the party of Paddy and friends. When the table was booked for six people the customer was made aware that it was a very busy evening and that the table was booked again for 8pm. The customer was happy with this as he said he 'wanted a quick meal' as they 'had somewhere else to be later'.... More

A massive dissapointment, a group of 9 of us were booked in at 6.00pm and were told we HAD to leave at 8pm, which felt a bit rushed. In the meantime after finishing our meals we were told that they wouldn't serve us deserts. It was shambles, after seeing great reviews about the place we were all looking forward to... More

We visited the Garddfon on Monday evening and were surprised to see how busy it was. Thank goodness we had booked a table! Our food was really good - 3 gammons and one prawn stir fry off the specials board. A friendly pub and great food. A perfect combination.
