Love this popular little cafe , breakfast served till lunch time . Good menu selection for large and small appetites . Warm atmosphere especially popular with all sporting enthusiasts as there are plenty of healthy options . Love sitting outside in the summer .

Fresh off a plane, jet lagged, hungry - you know the feeling. We were driving around looking for a place to eat (and we drove around for quite a while on those odd left-sided streets). We settled on Jan's and struck gold. I have never...More

Checked on TripAdvisor for somewhere near to a Newcastle Airport to have breakfast before our recent holiday and Jan's Kitchen was top of the list. I messaged and asked what they did for breakfasts and they promptly replied with what they have to offer, so...More

Visited here yesterday afternoon for a take away coffee and cake. I ordered a hazelnut latte with one of their malteaser tray bakes and my husband ordered a flat white coffee. The cake was lovely, very dense and sickly enough for us both to share....More

Absolutely love this little café! Lots and lots of choice for somewhere so small, and all dishes I've tried are absolutely delicious. The salads are unreal for £4 - you get chicken, bacon, salad, tomatoes, cucumber, lovely olives, sweetcorn, feta, pasta, cous cous, beetroot, peppers,...More

I like this place. Friendly service, well cooked breakfasts. I often just have a selection, but they always come up trumps. The clientele is wide ranging from cyclists to police, families to singletons.

Been out on the bike and was looking for somewhere with a group of students for some nice home made food. This stop was just what the doctor ordered. Great little place with a warm welcome and delicious home cooking. A little wait as everything...More

A pleasant change for coffee and sweet treat instead of one of the chain coffee shops. Home made food, attentive staff and papers to read. A pleasant, friendly environment even at the end of the day.
