This is what I call a good traditional village pub. A lovely welcome and a cosy atmosphere on a cold and rainy November day. We had a well cooked, tasty and very reasonably price lunchtime meal. We were really well looked after and the good reviews for this pub are well deserved.

Had sunday lunch there twice now. We took friends last time and they loved it too. The turkey was moist and tender, veggies perfect, especially the roasties!!!

Decided to try the Sunday roast as I've heard it's good. That's an understatement! The beef was the best roast I've had anywhere. It was so tender, the Yorkshire puddings were amazing and rich meaty gravy to top it all off. I desperately wanted dessert as the cheesecake was homemade and recommended but I couldn't possibly manage it. I can't... More

We had a table reserved near a window because he has bad eyesight. it was during a lunch time so we had the Lunch menu which offered a good selection and was very reasonably priced. Fabulous service and the staff were very... More

We stopped here for lunch, food was lovely particularly the pudding! Fed a family of 4 2 courses and drinks for less than £40! Place is quite small and a bit shabby in places...but service was so friendly and was very clean so it didn't bother me :-) Lovely place to stop after Brecon mountain railway as is just a... More

Took my 9 year old daughter for lunch at the Red Cow during half term. The food was first class. Everything was home cooked and the chips alone are worth a visit. I was advised not to order an adult meal for my daughter as the portions were quite large. We were not disappointed! Will definitely eat here again ...... More
