Thank You for this beautiful comment! We are happy to read that you spent a great moment at the Café du Quai. See you soon!
Dropped in to this restaurant in sleepy St Fiacre and delighted with the whole experience. All due IMHO to the the restuateur, from Normandy, by whose name I neglected to ask. Casual but comfy and welcoming with a good selection of breakfast crépes - I...had the salmon with an egg, my wife brie, carmalized apples, and almonds. Sound delicious which they were. The latté and cappuccino both first rate and a healthy serving.More
Very nice outdoor deck facing the water. The crepes were amazing. This restaurant was open each day we were there and lots of people around. Location is amazing
Excellent location, great Crepes, good service The patio seating gave us a great view on the nice warm summer afternoon. The server was very courteous and helped with the French menu. We enjoyed the fresh Blueberry smoothie and Chai latte. The crepe meal took a...little longer than we expected as it was busy, but was worth the wait. All food was delicious and we even ordered more. We would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want some excellent Crepes coffee/ tea Latte and smoothies. Prices were reasonable.More
There are threee restaurants in L’Anse Saint Jean: one was closed, one was full, our last hope was the Café du quai. There was no room, reservations were full. « What about a take out » I asked, desperate. « Oh, yes, sure, and if you eat at...the quai, I can give it to you in real plates. But wait, is the picnic table outside by the street empty ? I can bring your order, on plates and with real glasses down there ». This picnic table is not on the restaurant property but it was empty, so we had dinner there. And it was excellent, althought a little meaty for my taste. The soup was delicious, the local beer was fine, the crepe was generous and the desert and tea were quite satisfying. The service nedless to say was amazing.More
Very good service meeting Covid-19 care. We shared a savoury crepe and a dessert crepe. Both excellent. Busy as we arrived with a party of 20 that would be catching the boat at the pier across the street in an hour. Service very pleasant. Would...recommend this restaurant.More
Exceptional service, friendly & the crepes are THE BEST‼️👌 With COVID-19 this restaurant takes every precaution The view is the best especially after a day of kayaking The chef and all the staff were 5 star plus‼️
Direct view on the Sagunenay, nice choice of beers and sandwiches. Nice and fast service. Reasonable prices.
Fun, small and delicious. Service is friendly.Decoration is very simple. Many kind of Bretone crepe.
On our drive around the Saguenay fjord, we stopped at L'Anse-St-Jean, which is one of the few spots where you can actually access the water. We had a lovely, perfect lunch at Cafe du Quai, beautiful, authentic crepes and wonderful soups. The wait staff could...not have been more kind and attentive, and even invited our dogs to sit with our on their terrace with a wonderful view of the fjord. And don't neglect desert. There is also an interesting, quality gift shop on the first floor of the building. If you are taking the boat-trip from L'Anse-St-Jean, it would make sense to stop by the cafe on your way out and on your way back.More
Staff and very friendly and helpful and had a good sense of humor. Completely fluent with English. Enjoyed our stop
Very friendly helpful staff with a sense of humor. Good selection of drinks and snacks. Enjoyed the stop.
Very good crepes, both sarrasin and sweet crepes. A taste of France with a touch from Quebec. very toddlers friendly too, we felt very comfortable with our twin kids.
To say the least, my wife and son love the galettes and crepes so what a pleasant surprise to discover in the middle of nowhere after having traveled on the fjord of the Saguenay a creperie...the food honestly was really good at a very reasonable...price, the owner who as you have guessed migrated there from Brittany about 12 years ago offers simple but very good galettes/crepes...well worth the stop overMore
We had a lovely lunch at Cafe du Quai few days ago. The crepes were amazing - made by a french chef ;) - The chef is very friendly and he seemed to know very well the locals. This is for sure the best place...to eat around L'Anse-St-Jean.More
