I always buy fresh mint or other leaves to prepare tea at home, as well as the comfrey balm for irritated skin. There are also fun puzzles to buy as souvenirs in the front of the store. If you choose to dine-in, write your order out in spanish and pay the cashier, then wander the lovely grounds to see the... More

We looked for La Casita several times but didn't find it. On the third time of trying, we walked along the Pan American leaving Esteli to the south, and found it on the right hand side, after a bend in the road, about 600 metres after the hospital. It is a lovely place for a coffee and stroll around the... More

I went here for brunch a couple of weeks ago and can't wait to go back. The menu is relatively small, but there are a fair amount of brunch options. I had the bread with hummus, cucumber and tomatoes and it was absolutely delicious. After you've enjoyed a meal, you can wander through the beautiful botanical gardens. The one thing... More

We heard about this place from a local and after a few missed turns we arrived! So happy we found it and after eating and enjoying the peaceful surroundings...we picked up some wonderful fresh herbs and spices to take along to our beach house getaway, to cook up some homecoo ked meals.

Wow beautiful quiet atmosphere with great food and some of the best choices of bread and cheese in town. I would highly recommend this fine restaurant.

La Casita was a great place to stay, but now they chbage everything. If you want to visit you have to call before. The yogurth is bad. I think they don't want to continue working. It;s open just on Saturday.

I love their yoghurts and fruit juice, the place is beautiful also, but can be too crowded on the weekends. Now they restricted the places where you can be during weekdays which is bad for me since I do try to avoid crazy crowds and like walking, so I just changed my rating to 2 because of that (it was... We went there for a short visit and liked the scenery. They have a nursery garden with local species as well as cactus and succulents. They have a small bridge where you can explore the rest of the garden and there is also a playground. We did not eat anything, but I bought a delicious curry spice which caught our... More

This place is amazing, peaceful, green, home made, delicious and organic. Everything is produce at this place, manufactured by locals. The owner is of Sweden decent and makes everything himself. Here you can buy plants for your garden, amazing yogurts, breakfast. A nice place to be away from the city. Very quiet and peaceful.

La Casita is a wonderful place to have coffee and a light meal of bread and cheese with coffee. The grounds are beautiful and the atmosphere very relaxed. The food and the coffee were very good. I especially recommend it for families with children because there are areas for the children to play and run around.
