Thanks to the management for keeping the last chateaubriand for us as I mentioned in my booking that's what we would like to have and the very thoughtful management kept aside the last order even though we came at 230 pm ( last booking) Leanne served us and she was courteous and knowledgeable . The chateaubriand is hard to beat... More

On a recent tour of Adelaide Hills, our guide arranged for a tasting at the Sidewood Cellar Door and lunch in their restaurant, Maximilian’s. Seth guided us through delightful wines, including some of the best sparkling wine and whites that we tasted in the area. For lunch we had the multi-course tasting menu with wines. This was a delightful selection... More

Went up to the cellar door- SideWood- for a friends birthday celebration/lazy Sunday session. The food was minimal and expensive (we had numerous platters as we sat outside) and the drinks were sooo expensive. About $300 later, we left hungry and we were not even tipsy. Sooo over-rated and sooo not worth it!!!

We were a group 8, with two children of 6 and 9 years, a vegetarian and a person with a salt-free diet requirement. The children were kept amused with the restaurant's craft sets, the vegetarian was well catered for, and the normal meals were varied and pleasant. The serious disappointment was that, after an elaborate correspondence with "Emily" from the... More

We experienced a Christmas Day lunch at this Restaurant? You could never have a better meal, it was simply divine. The service was exceptional, and the view, looking out was perfect.

High quality atmosphere to match the superb food, views, and service. Pricey, but to be expected for the quality of restaurant and cellar. We have had Leanne as our server a few times now and will request her each time we return! Friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, she made our dining experience all the more pleasant with her thoughtful recommendations. We... More

We had a very good meal at this restaurant . I loved the pate to start with and shared a beautiful chateaubriand as a main course . The meat was very tender and the béarnaise sauce was delicious . All the staff are very friendly and the service was perfect . Would definitely return when staying in Adelaide

Excellent food, staff and surroundings. Do yourself a favour and head here for dinner, doesn't need to be a special occasion or event, well worth the drive. We will definitely be back soon.

We loved this winery and enjoyed the golfing challenge however edge really put off by the fact that they double the price of a bottle of wine if you want to drink it on site.
