We visited this restaurant with high expectations.. out of all the meals in playa del cura it was the most expensive and most disappointing. It was fairly busy, we had starters, which were good, the mains were just placed in front of us… not asked if we required any extras.. we requested mayonnaise, eventually arrived half way through eating. Not once we’re we asked how the meal was… my steak was tasty but only lukewarm. Decided not to bother with coffee and dessert. Few days left we will not be returning to eat here.

Had takeaway pizza (gluten-free) to enjoy on our balcony, highly recommended, will only order again from here, they even asked my wife regarding the oil to cook the fries in. For anyone with any food intolerances that means a lot, the thought alone is worth 5 stars. Compared to the Pizza place across the road, the Delicias restaurant wins by miles. The pizza was lovely and the service exceptional :)

Had a drink locally before going and could see people being turned away as busy and full. We had although booked in advance so had no worries. On entering we were loudly shouted at from the far end of restauatant several times "we are full!" Didnt give us chance to say we had booked. Very humiliating as everyone turned to stare. Did eventually point to our table. Was quite brisk and unwelcoming. Even had to ask for wine cooler. Shame as food was good but didnt go back.

The elderly, not so friendly, female waitress, who met us 90 minutes before closing time, asked if we had booked a table. As we said no, she frowned and made a point of not having any table avaiable. But after 'conferring' with her colleague, she found out that there had 'been a cancelletion.' Well, 40% of the tables were empty the rest of the evening, and only 1 of them had a 'rent card' on when we arrived. It is so stupid to pretend to be fully booked. They would be wise to stop that silly outdated game.
The food was a huge dissapointment as well. The meal, only containing breaded chicken breast, with with small bites of potato, was dry and tasteless. No sauce, no vegetables, no herbs or spice. Chicken needs lots of spice, and why not offer at least some local Mojo sauce and broccoli beans??
Any other restaurant in the site has better food and service, so keep on walking. Do not be fooled by their fancy webside!

We have eaten at Delicias for breakfast, lunch and tea many times over the last 2 weeks. No matter what we have ordered whether it be a toastie for lunch or a full 3 course dinner it has always been fantastic. The food is gorgeous and the service from Bea is personal and friendly. We often sit at the front of the restaurant looking out to sea which makes for such a lovely setting whether it be morning afternoon or night. This is the second time we have stayed at the Idyll Suites so the second time we have used the restaurant and i am so pleased unlike many restaurants locally that they have not been affected by the pandemic and the amazing little gem this place is is just as good if not better than when we last visited in 2019. How this place is not ranked No1 in Playa Del Cura i don’t know, but it should be!

This restaurant is located within Idyll Suites where we booked a 10 day holiday from 29 May. Unbeknown to us this was their quiet season so sadly this restaurant was not open during the evenings. We did however have a couple of lunchtime/afternoon meals which were first class along with the service. There was plenty of food on our plates and all appeared home cooked. Thank you

We have dined here on previous visits to Idyll suites so decided to try again while we are currently staying . The prices are a little higher than other places in the area and I wondered if they could have a discount system for those people that are stopping at the Idyll suites? . On to the food we had Brushetta and Canarian potatoes for starters and both were excellent . For main I ordered the beef sirloin and was asked how I would like it cooked and I must say it was cooked to perfection and was the best steak I have had for a long time and was more like fillet than sirloin, melted in the mouth and was delicious. My wife had the Lasagne and although the taste was good it was a little bit dry as if it had been heated in a microwave but was the only thing that we thought was not spot on . We were both happily full after our mains and had no room for desserts . Will happily go again if we get chance before the end of our holiday 👍

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! My husband and I are currently staying at Idyll Suites and have eaten at Delicias for lunch and dinner a few times. The food is absolutely amazing - the pear and Gorgonzola pasta is the best pasta I have ever tasted! The service is brilliant - especially Bea - she is a star! The view from the restaurant is stunning and even when it is dark, the lighting is cosy and the sound of the sea is so relaxing. A perfect place to unwind at the end of any day!

We ate here twice and both times were excellent.
The first time was when we had just arrived and my husband had Spaghetti Bolognese and I had homemade bread and chips
The homemade bread was fantastic! As was the Spag Bol
The second visit was later in our holiday.
The usual waiter had been replaced by Bea and she is a fantastic host
As a vegetarian I found a few dishes on the menu which is good.
I chose the Mushroom lasagne,my husband a meat eater had pork medallions
The mushroom lasagne was delicious, and I wished we had extra time on my holiday to have the other veggie dishes.
My husband also thoroughly enjoyed his pork dish.
We also had desserts which were amazing. I had brownies and my husband had an ice cream dish
Well worth a visit or two....

We spent a week on Gran Canaria and this was by far the best restaurant we visited. The tenderloin was really tender and perfectly seasoned, the sea bream was very tasty and so were the pear (!) gnochi. Service was excellent without being too touristic

Tried the restaurant one evening as we are staying in the hotel which is very comfortable and the nice restaurant serves a good breakfast.
However he dinner was just AWFUL!!
Tuna came in small hard pieces in tomato sauce and the battered chicken was a thin lonesome sheet, dry and tasteless describe it best as was also the “rosemary” potato pieces with some spice on top. No gravy etc. Added salt was definitely the greatest gourmet experience here.
I must say have seldom bumped into this bad food anywhere, definitely top 3 worst dinners.
There was truly something unreal about this experience and the contradiction with their food pictures is enormous. A scam even, I’d say. The operators can’t be the ones taking care of the hotel?

We went here as a family of 4, and again with a party of 12, and again with all our party of 20! service and food was excellent, everyone was happy with every single meal. The food is all prepared fresh and sourced locally. I would highly recommend the tuna and sea bream! Lovely setting and nice and cool. Waiter was great with the kids and very attentive.

We have been there several times, both for lunch and dinner. Quiet and low key place, very nice people and good service. They say that they only use fresh and local ingredients, and nothing processed, which I believe. Should be the best restaurant in the area, where restaurants in general are not very good. Love this place. Italian. Cuisine with Canarian flavour.
