Had Sunday lunch here, staff were courteous as always and ever helpful. We had roast beef and roast pork, both cooked perfectly and served with all the trimmings. Clean plates all around and a lovely atmosphere to dine in. Thoroughly recommend

The restaurant was very busy, even mid week, and we hadn't booked ahead but they found us a table in the back room. The staff are very friendly and the food and service is excellent. Highly recommended.

Have eaten here previously and enjoyed the food and ambience but on this occasion was very disappointed. One person serving was ok, the other couldn't give a damn and attended to people who had arrived later than us before she served us. I'm a vegetarian and there was only one vegetarian option on the menu; roast cauliflower with spicy lentil... More

Bar member of staff was on the button but there was no chanse of any lateral thinking with the menu. Waitress was a pretty young lady but she had no interest in what she was doing or the people she was serving. Impatiently piled the the starters on the table. Didn't want to sort out the discrepancy between what was... More

We stayed in the town only for one night and the host recommended us this place for dinner. He was totally right as the pub itself was very nice and the bar tenders were friendly and very helpful. We ordered the crab linguine and the smoked duck salad and everything was delicious! Totally recommended

A brilliant pub that is more of a restaurant with lovely food and lovely locally brewed ale. Very happy place to be, whether it be family or adults.

Excellent food and lovely venue - its aged quality makes it a place to visit - there is a courtyard garden but the restaurant is very popular so either book or arrive early

This pub has a friendly atmosphere with prompt service. My partner and I both ate excellent spicy fish soup, and followed it with goat's cheese and pepper tart [me] and goat's cheese and pepper risotto . Both dishes were delicious. Roasted peaches and lemon icecream rounded off a fabulous meal
