Called in on a chilly but sunny late December day after a short walk. Staff friendly and helpful and the scones we ate were just the ticket, as was the warming coffee.

Called in after walk to castle. Scone stale, cheap jam. Toilet flush button missing meaning painful to use !

Came here twice over the New Year period - the first for lunch on Jan 2 - the place was rammed but we eventually got seated and the crab sandwiches were well worth the wait. The service was friendly- many apologies for the wait etc- and they were doing a great job under a lot of pressure. You couldn't help... More

We stopped here for a cup of tea. It's a nice little cafe and we had a good view of the sunset and the sea. The staff were very friendly.

Good food and some friendly staff; only spoilt by owner/front of house manager turning away customers in the most unfriendly way possible " kitchen closed" at 3.30pm this last week to those who dared try to order food ! sign outside said 4pm. Amazement - do they want customers or are they an inconvenience I ask!!! Innocent bystander. They (... More

Called here on the off chance as we couldn't get in the nearby pub. What a result! The cafe looks quite small from the front but really opens up once you are inside. We just wanted snacks and ended up with a Christmas bap (Christmas dinner in a sandwich), corned beef and onion panini and chilli all served beautifully and... More

Called in here on Boxing Day after a walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. What a little gem. Place was packed, the four of us were lucky as some people got up to leave as we went in. Ordered baked spuds all round and several pots of tea followed by some amazing cakes. Staff were super friendly, nothing was too much trouble.... More

Dropped by for lunch during a visit to the area. Very bustling but a lovely atmosphere. We ordered crab sandwiches and smoked kipper. The kipper that my partner ordered looked amazing. My crab sandwiches were very tasty, but ought to have been on granary bread rather than bog standard wholemeal. This may have been an option - I certainly wish... More

We visited on a cold November lunchtime when there were very few other visitors to Craster. The cafe is located at the top of a small bank up from the harbour, past the kipper smoker. I had a coronation chicken sandwich which was obviously home made judging by the large lumps of chicken. The curried mayo was delicious and full... More
