We had a great day. I booked my husband onto a one day cookery course as a birthday gift, choosing it specifically because it was practical and not just the usual demo class. It proved to be fun, informative, good teaching and quality outcomes. He...More

Simply awful, the course was run on the cheap and was simply all day demo. I have attended many cooking courses and this was simply the worst ever.More

Question of the day: How was River Cottage? My response: It was just how I dreamed it would be. I like my food, I love flavours, and I had been building up this Friday night barn house dinner in my head for weeks. Normally, that...More

I always use a light vegetable oil generally and a good quality olive oil occasionally. Tried rapeseed oil but not over keen on the flavour.

Hi there - it's smart / casual but with sturdy shoes, we are a farm with uneven ground. Also, layers are good in case it rains or turns cooler in the evening. Jeans are acceptable. In fact, pretty much anything goes!
